Keeper Day last week was focused on training!

We learnt about operant and classical conditioning, and put these into practice with clicker training our mini donkeys and goats!

We worked our way through different levels of PORTL to practice our reinforcement timing and placement.

Dora and Florence our new mini donkeys are settling in well.

They have met Peri Peri, our OSB boar, started joining in with kids camp activities, and Dora is preparing herself to be our demo donkey for clicker training at our teens Keeper Day tomorrow!

Some enclosure designing for our exotic animal keeper day.

Followed by some donkey grooming and we had to sneak in a visit to the newest piglets!

‼️If you are interested in booking onto next Friday’s Keeper Day on animal training (where we will do plenty of hands on training with goats and donkeys!) please do so by 8pm tonight. ‼️

Currently this session needs 3 more attendees to be able to run.

✨Afternoon Tea with Mini Donkeys!✨

Dine with Dora, feast with Florence, then wind down after with Willow 🫏

Sessions available:
Saturday 19th September 3-4pm (16+)
Saturday 26th September 1-2pm (families and all ages)

Tickets are £25 per person and include a full afternoon tea alongside our donkeys as well as full interactions during the session.

Who fancies a rain dance? ☔️

Whilst it’s nice to be able to make plans over the summer holidays without worrying it will get rained off, we could really do with some rain to promote some grass growth for our livestock animals. Fingers crossed we might get some soon 🤞🏻
