Today is about learning to draw chimps after initial sketches for my next picture seemed to suggest I'd never seen a chimp in my life. Nor wielded a pencil. Anyway I think Im headed in the right direction even if Im not quite there yet.

I always do a spot of background research when I start a new subject. I hadn't realized that chimpanzees moved into the iucn critically endangered list 10 years ago.

How many species do you reckon have to go extinct before we decide that the non human animals on the planet need a share of planetary resources?

I like birds! I was up and out at 5am today to spend some quality time at my local nature reserve, . Cute ducklings and cygnets aside, the wrens and kingfishers were putting on a good show. I saw a kingfisher fishing, 2 kingfishers together and a wren toing and froing a hidden nest with mouthfuls of insects.
Hands up fellow bird nerds! What other wood bird pins should I make?

Sheesh. Whenever I plan to put in some effort on my posts I wind up getting sucked into doomscrolling and *bang* I'm out of time! So here's a post as basic as they come - just a photo of my little vampcat sticker which will be on sale for the first time this Sunday pm at at the Guildhall .
Meantime to save you some time on the socials, here's a summary of my findings - animals are fun, politics both sides of the pond are FUBAR and the tech bros seem determined to kill all creativity. Right Im off to make some stock, just as soon as I've banged my head against this wall for a bit.

And now realise that a white bit on your logo should be black!!! I'm a very literally person - do I change it or welcome the opportunity to practice a bit cognitive dissonance? (Which doesn't come naturally)

Oh for context Im on a bit of a road trip and spent the day at The British Wildlife centre in Surrey. Blossom was a highlight on the week that it looks like the badger cull is caput. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
