GALLERY:
‘Morning Sky Over the Dunes’, oil on board, was one of JIM HYETT’s beautifully painted and framed submissions to Rye Art Gallery’s ‘En Plein Air’ Competition & Exhibition just closed. Notice the red dot! Congratulations Jim on the sale. Jim is a truly dedicated plein air artist and a member of the Tuesday Painters Outside Painting Group.

GALLERY:
It is not often that we get a photo from KATHY RUSSELL to post. Her meticulous and detailed watercolours are a delight. This particular one, along with a couple or more others, can be seen in the flesh, so to speak, at the WINCHELSEA MILLENNIUM ARTEFACTS SOCIETY’s exhibition this Bank Holiday Weekend. Kathy didn’t say what the title is, but it does look like Summer Fields.

GALLERY:
The Tuesday Painters Exhibition may be over, but August has others still open to visit, such as the Rye Society of Artists’ in the Dance Hall, Conduit Hill, Rye where a couple of Tuesday Painters have had work accepted.
The WINCHELSEA MILLENNIUM ARTEFACTS SOCIETY [WMAS] Exhibition takes place over the coming Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 29th - Monday 31st August, in the Winchelsea Court Hall, a Grade I listed medieval building on Winchelsea High Street. Proceeds from the sale of art help raise money for the maintenance and preservation of Winchelsea's Town's Millennium Artefacts. A good baker’s dozen of Tuesday Painters are taking part. Always such an enjoyable event .

Tuesday. 18th August
TUESDAY PAINTERS EXHIBITION & SALE of ART
The Exhibition closed on Saturday evening, 15th August. The winning Raffle Ticket for Richard Adams’ etching ‘The Honey Thieves’ was drawn by the artist himself and was won by Katie in Bexhill! It was delivered to her that same evening at Webbe’s Restaurant in Rye where she just happened to be: she was thrilled to have won!
The Preview on Friday, 7th August was once again a vibrant affair, the venue packed and the Prosecco flowed. Our thanks to KT BRUCE for her amazing photos of that event.
Every single artist who exhibited received votes from the visiting public! Congratulations to all those artists who sold and very many grateful thanks to our brilliant Exhibition Team who worked their socks off to set it up, hang and eventually take it all down, plus lots of other behind-the-scenes support as well. Thanks, too, to all who stewarded during the Exhibition.
Despite the extreme heat, once again the Tuesday Painters Exhibition & Sale of Art has been a resounding success. 👏👏👏

…and any artwork by our members that you may have had your eye on. Sold items have been replaced, so the Exhibition is still full of lovely artwork.

There are 5 or presentations during the year of talks or demonstrations by invited artists which are held at St. Mary’s Centre, Rye. Members may attend free of charge. Guests or non-members may attend for a small fee.
