The children of Rusper had a fantastic time watching the Morris Dancers and experiencing some 'May Day' festivities. It was lovely to see the children embracing British culture and celebrations. What a great way to end the week.

The Blossoms have had some lovely stories read to them by their parents! The children have loved listening to the stories and asking questions.

A big special thank you to those parents 😄

This week, 20 of our finest sportspeople travelled to Bohunt Horsham to take part in a tag rugby tournament. The children demonstrated fantastic skill and sportsmanship, especially given the short time they had to prepare, and represented the school brilliantly. Team A secured two wins, while Team B celebrated a well-earned victory of their own. Overall, this led to a fantastic fourth-place finish for Team Rusper! We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to the next opportunity to represent the school.

A huge thank you to our wonderful FORPS ladies for treating everyone to lovely Mother’s Day goodies at drop‑off this morning! 🌸💖
Each child was able to choose a rose to gift to their special adult. If anyone missed out this morning, they’ll be able to take a rose home at the end of the day.
Such a lovely way to celebrate all our amazing mums ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday.

The dance festival on Tuesday was absolutely fabulous!
From the afternoon rehearsals to the evening performance, the children excelled. They not only showcased their own fantastic routines but also showed a fantastic sense of community by cheering on all of the other schools taking part. It was a truly amazing event and a wonderful celebration of the children’s hard work, talent, and enthusiasm.
A huge thank you to Maxine for all of her dedication and hard work with the dancers — we couldn’t have done it without her!

What an incredible World Book Day we had at Rusper Primary School! The school was filled with imagination, creativity and a real celebration of the power of words.
From amazing costumes to our exciting Word Scavenger Hunt, the children explored how words can inspire stories, spark curiosity and help us express our ideas. Classrooms were buzzing with poetry, word art and thoughtful discussions about how the words we choose can shape the world around us.
