You were very generous with your donations and we are pleased to be able to use these to support our local community. We also had a fantastic turnout for the Y4 Harvest Assembly. Rushden Town Council is pleased to invite children and families to a special day of Spooky Science in the atmospheric surroundings of the historic Rushden Hall on Friday 30 October 2026.

📍 Rushden Hall, Hall Park, Rushden, NN10 9ES
📅 Friday 30 October 2026 – a great half-term activity for children and families!
⏰ Sessions available from 10.00am

Children can enjoy an entertaining and educational 30-minute science show, featuring a range of exciting experiments and demonstrations, including:
🧪 Colour-changing potions
🫧 Bubbling potions
🔥 Flammable bubbles
🐘 Elephant toothpaste
❄️ Dry ice demonstrations
🎃 Plenty of Halloween-themed science

There will be six sessions throughout the day, with places available to book in advance.

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION
Children must be accompanied by an adult or carer throughout the workshop.
Only children attending the workshop need to book a place. Adults and carers do not need to book a separate place.

We will also be bringing back a Halloween Letter Search along Rushden High Street, similar to last year's event.
This will provide another opportunity for children and families to get involved, explore the High Street and enjoy some Halloween-themed fun.

***EXCITING NEWS***
We are delighted to announce that the whole school will be visiting The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough on Wednesday 9th December to enjoy the pantomime Dick Whittington.

The total cost of the trip is £24 per child. However, our wonderful PTA, FOALTS, have kindly offered to cover the cost of the coaches, reducing the price to just £15.50 per child to cover the cost of the theatre ticket.

We are extremely grateful to FOALTS for their generous support in helping to make this exciting experience more affordable for all our families.
To help spread the cost, payments can be made in instalments via Arbor. Please make an initial payment via Arbor by Friday 23rd October 2026.

We are looking forward to a fantastic festive trip and a wonderful pantomime experience for all the children!

***WEDNESDAY 7 OCTOBER***
Cross Country & School Photos 📸🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
Children attending Cross Country on Wednesday 7th October need to be in school by 8:30am.
Please ensure children:
Wear their school uniform on their top half so they can have their school photograph taken.
Bring their PE kit into school to change into ready for Cross Country.
Bring all the items listed in the Cross Country reminder.
Sibling Photos 📸
If your child has a sibling at school, their sibling can also arrive at 8:30am so that we can take sibling group photographs before the school day begins.
All other children should arrive at school at the normal time of 8:45am and should come to school wearing their full school uniform.
