Today we said an emotional goodbye to the class of 2026.
Thank you to the parents and carers who chose Alfred Lord Tennyson School and trusted us with your children. We are incredibly proud of the fantastic young people that they have become. We hope you and they, have lots of lovely memories of their time with us. We have loved working with and sharing their special moments. We wish you all the best for the future.

Upcoming Events:
Wednesday - Break the rules day
Thursday - ALTS Got Talent Finals, 2-4 pm Family Fun Afternoon
Friday - 9.30 am Y6 leavers assembly, last day of term

At the end of the day on Friday, we will say a fond farewell to our Year 6 children at the slightly earlier time of 3.15 pm. The school community will come together to form a leavers arch for our children to walk down on their way out of the school gates for one last time. The rest of the school will then go back to their teachers to be dismissed to parents at 3.25 pm. Please do not take your children without the class teacher’s knowledge.

Don't forget to Break the Rules Day tomorrow, for a small fee you can break as many as you like form the ones on the poster.

For a small fee your child can break as many rules, listed on the poster, as they like.
If parents wish to join in and bring the children to school in their PJ's, it will cost you a £1.

Spare Uniform Plea

If your child has borrowed any school uniform or PE kit from us and it has ALTS written in the label, please can this be returned by the end of the week as we are running low.
If your child has outgrown their uniform or PE kit and it is still in good condition, we would welcome donations for our spare uniform supply. We are particularly low in grey trousers, grey skirts, PE shorts, Black PE tops and trousers, grey socks and tights.

I do apologise for the late message. As the temperatures are due to exceed 30 degrees again tomorrow, we will be allowing children to be collected again from 1.15pm from the John Street gate. Numbers permitting, remaining children will then take part in some activities in the air conditioned cabins. If your child leaves at 1.15pm this will not impact on their attendance as it is a school arrangement as part of health and safety risk assessment.
Our year 6 leavers party will go ahead in the evening. Mrs Smith will inform you of what adaptations will be put in place to keep the children cool and safe in a message tomorrow morning.
Reminder it is m***i tomorrow in exchange for an item for our family fun afternoon.
We look forward to temperatures being more manageable next week for our last week of term.
