We have had a lovely day!! A morning of party games, party food and dancing!
Then this afternoon a visit to The Brindley to watch Santa Saves Christmas!!! 🎅🎄❄️
Thank you so much to our parents for joining us, so sad that some of our children were too poorly to join in the fun. Hope that everyone feels better soon.

We have had a number of children who have unfortunately been poorly recently. As it is our trip to The Brindley tomorrow afternoon we would be really grateful if you could let us know whether your child will still be attending - some of you have already done this so thank you! 🎄🎅❄️

We had a lovely afternoon with our Parent and Tots group. It was party day!!! Thank you to our parents for organising food for the event. A big Thank you to Class R and Miss Scutt at The Brow for joining us and celebrating Christmas in style!!! 🎅🎄⛄❄️❤️

Don't forget to come along to The Brow CP Christmas Fayre this afternoon 1-3pm. Pre School parents can collect their children at 1:00pm and take them along!! 🎄🎅⛄❄️

Unfortunately we are cancelling our Library visit on Wednesday 14th December 2022 - the extremely cold weather makes the paths treacherous to walk on. Instead we would like our parents to join us in Nursery from 8:50- 9:30am for breakfast and a Christmas Story.
We hope to rearrange our Library visit in the New Year.

Today we marked the beginning of Advent with a Christmas Craft Morning. It was lovely to have our parents join us for a wonderful morning. We made mini chocolate houses, melted snowman cakes, reindeer food, a Rudolf tree decoration and wrote our letters to Santa.
We finished the morning off with a hot chocolate and a gingerbread man.
Our children have been learning to sing and sign 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' - so we performed it for our parents.

We love to support our families at The Brow. After a parent told us today that her little boy is nervous about visiting the dentist, we set up an activity to help.
Cleaning crocodile teeth and trying to see if we can open our mouths as wide as the crocodiles can!!
We will revisit this activity over the next few weeks - fingers crossed we work our magic!!

This week as an additional Traditional Tale we are reading The Elves and the Shoemaker.
Yesterday in our maths focus we paired shoes and found the ones belonging to a friend - responding to a two part instruction!!
Today the children will help the Elves sew before the Shoemaker wakes up!! 🍄👠👟👞

Pre School parents - just a polite reminder to join us on Thursday 1st December from 9:00-11:00am, for a morning of Christmas Crafts, seasonal hot chocolate and a performance of rhymes.
We would love for you to join your child to start the beginning of Advent. 🎄🎅⛄⭐
Even if it isn't your child's normal day, we would still like you and your child to be there. ❤️

This year we are very excited to announce our first ever ‘The Brow 12 Days of Christmas’ 🎄👏🏻🥳 We start next Monday (28th) with a non-uniform day in exchange for raffle/tombola prizes 😊👍🏻 (Apologies for the ‘Friday’ instead of ’Monday’ next to 28th…we were a bit excited while planning 🤣)

Don't forget it's Non uniform day tomorrow!!!

Children may wear their own clothes to Nursery in exchange for a donation of a Tombola/Raffle prize for The Brow CP Christmas Fayre.

Makaton Training!!

Today we completed our 6 week training. Thank you to Cathy for helping us to learn a new skill and a huge well done to the children for listening, taking part and remembering the signs!!!

Today we talked about why we wear a poppy. We used our mark making skills to create poppy artwork. ❤️

It was lovely to speak to so many of our Nursery parents tonight .Just one more to see tomorrow and we will have spoken to all of our parents!!! Thank you for such amazing support ❤️

We started half term by celebrating Halloween - reading Room on the Broom, exploring pumpkins, making potions and eating a spooky snack.

Class N had a lovely day. We enjoyed lots of activities linked to World Mental Health Day.
Wake Up Shake Up, Dancing to 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams, Yoga, Relaxation, Being creative, Making Fruit Kebabs, Talking about our feelings, drinking Hot Chocolate and Singing!!! 🙂☹️😡💛

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day. The children will be taking part in some exciting well-being activities. Don’t forget…children can wear something yellow if they would like to 😊👍🏻💛

Our Parent and Toddler group is going from strength to strength! It is lovely to see familiar faces each week and today we welcomed some more tots to our group. (We've even got our own little baby group going on too)

Today we got to meet our Class 5 Buddies for the first time!

Our Makaton Training happened a day earlier than planned.
The children were amazing - Cathy taught us lots of signs and they were able to respond to the adults by signing. When we have practiced a little we will video the children so that you can see them in action. What stars they are! ⭐

Just a polite reminder that it's individual photographs tomorrow. The children will need to wear uniform and their smile!! 🙂

Our first Stay and Play session went well this morning. Then this afternoon it was Parent and Tots.
Lovely to see so many of you brave the rain to join us.

Don't forget it's our first Stay and Play tomorrow from 9:00am - 10:30am.
Drop the children off first and then sign in at the main entrance. A member of our Nursery Team will meet you there.
