Early Years at The Brow

Early Years at The Brow Early Years at The Brow is an inclusive and nurturing Pre School based at The Brow CP School. We can take up to 20 children at each session.

All of our staff are qualifies to NVQ Level 3 or above.Children start with us the term after their third birthday. Most of the children attending our Pre School go on to The Brow CP School. Children use their 15 hours free Nursery entitlement, and then can pay for additional sessions at £9:00 per session with lunch time 'Wrap Around Care' available at the cost of £1:50 per day

This afternoon is our Teddy Bears Picnic for the children who will be attending Nursery and Reception in September 2026.

Those children who usually attend Nursery for a full day on Thursdays will stay all day as normal with parents joining at 1:30 pm.

Those children who usually attend Nursery for a morning session on Thursdays will need collecting as normal at 11:45am and return with their parents at 1:30pm.

Tomorrow is our last day. As school closes early our Nursery will close at the end of the morning session so all Nursery children will need collecting at 11:45 am.

Happy Graduation Day to our class of 2026.

Thank you to our parents, grandparents and carers for joining us today - we hope that you all enjoyed celebrating the end of the year with us.
Everyone coped really well with the heat and it was lovely to see all of our children receive prizes and gifts for their hard work at Nursery.

It's our Nursery Graduation tomorrow. Children should arrive with their parents/carers at 11:00am. This will give our Nursery Team time to get the room ready.

Children may wear their own clothes for the event.

We are having a party afterwards and children may leave with their parents/carers at the end of the event.

Today we joined Class R on their trip to Eureka Science Museum on the Wirral. The children enjoyed travelling by coach, eating their packed lunch and exploring the museum. A fun day with some very tired children on our way home.

Don't forget that Pre School are joining in with Whole school sports tomorrow morning. Please drop children off as normal - even if it's not your child's usual day!! After our races have finished we will take part in a Family Picnic on the school field. Children may leave after lunch if parents/carers wish but those children who normally attend all day on a Friday may stay for the afternoon session. 🏃🏅🏃‍♀️

Sadly we have had to cancel tomorrow's Stay and Play session due to the extreme heat. 🥵🌞🫠 We are so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

This also means that tomorrow's planned taster session for our September starters has also been postponed. Fortunately we have another one scheduled for next Thursday and the following Monday and Tuesday.

Yesterday, we had lots of fun outdoors - water play, den building, ice pops, story with Mrs Pennel and ..... taking the ducks for a swim.

We are making use of outdoors first thing in a morning when it is cooler but children still need ....
