Dear all
I also wanted to share my disappointment that the KSA’s planned inflatable activities cannot go ahead for the children tomorrow.
The School is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and staff. Therefore, any activities on School grounds or organised by the School must follow both our own policies and those of the Trust.
Unfortunately, details of the company providing the inflatables were only received today. Upon receiving details of the inflatables, we sought the necessary risk assessments from the suppliers. However, these were not sufficiently detailed to pass the rigorous checks with our external Health and Safety consultants. Their advice, which we have to follow, was that it would not be sensible to proceed with the activities.
This was a difficult decision, but one we felt we had no alternative but to take.
We understand that this is disappointing for parents and children, and frustrating for the KSA, whose generosity we appreciate.
As I often do, I want to thank the KSA for the efforts which are always appreciated by all involved with the School.
Going forward, we will revisit our policies to ensure that all operating from the School are aware of our requirements.
