今日Rugby又誕生一個1st time pass學員！
恭喜哂Lydia今日順利通過駕駛考試！Lydia本身已在國內考取駕駛執照，但需要進一步提升駕駛能力，先能夠適應英國的道路，以達到英國的駕駛標準和應付英國的道路考試。
首先打破以往駕駛習慣，提升在不同路口的觀察能力。我地花時間練習不同路況的處理和迴旋處觀察，確保她不僅能看清路況，還能真正注意到進入路口的安全時機。
而且在英國安全駕駛需要有效的計劃和提前預判前方的事物、車輛和行人，(Expect the unexpected)，於是我地亦花時間訓練Lydia的「掃描」技巧，提前觀察前方路況，尋找不同roadsign，潛在危險，同紅綠燈變化，學習將被動駕駛轉變為主動駕駛。目標唔止係通過考試，而係終身安全駕駛。Lydia只有兩個minor faults順利一次就通過考試！恭喜哂！

Lydia already had a driving licence from her home country, but she needed to further develop her driving skills to adapt to driving in the UK, meet UK driving standards and prepare for the UK practical driving test.
One of the first things we worked on was breaking some of her previous driving habits and improving her observation skills at different types of junctions. We spent time practising how to deal with different road situations, especially observation and judgement at roundabouts.
The aim was not just to see what was happening around her, but to properly recognise when it was safe to enter a junction or roundabout, and to judge the timing correctly when approaching and exiting.
In the UK, safe driving is very much about good planning and anticipation. You need to think ahead and anticipate what might happen with the road, other vehicles and pedestrians — expect the unexpected!
So we also spent time developing Lydia’s scanning skills, learning to look further ahead, identify potential hazards early, and keep an eye on road signs, traffic lights and changes in the road condition.
The goal was to move to a proactive approach — looking early, planning ahead and making the right decisions before a situation becomes a problem.
Learning to drive is never just about passing the test. The real goal is to help learners develop safe driving habits and good awareness that they can carry with them for the rest of their life.
And today, Lydia put it all together and came away with a first-time pass with just 2 minor faults! 🥳👏🏻Huge congratulations, Lydia! You absolutely smashed it! 🎉🚗
