✨ Bendrigg 2026-Day 2 ✨

Tuesday was another fun-packed and busy day! Pupils enjoyed the zip line, archery, and climbing, showing fantastic enthusiasm throughout.

They also had a very exciting visit from BBC Newsround, who filmed our group in action!

✨ Bendrigg 2026 - Day 1 ✨

The children and staff arrived at Bendrigg just after lunch and wasted no time getting stuck into the fantastic range of activities on offer! There was the super-fast and exciting tube slide, the indoor swing, sensory room and PE games.

It’s safe to say that both children and staff are absolutely loving every moment of the experience!

We are incredibly grateful to the Parent, School and Friends Association (PSFA) who raise an amazing £9,000 each year. Their support means that parents only need to contribute the equivalent of a short residential trip at other schools. Please keep supporting the PSFA in every way you can💙

✨Bending 2026 ✨

Today we waved off our Bendrigg 2026 adventurers as they headed off to the Lakes for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff volunteers who have given up their time to support our children around the clock throughout the trip. They have stepped away from their own families and personal lives to make this opportunity possible for our young people.

And it’s not just about this week — the preparation and planning for Bendrigg has been going on behind the scenes for months.

We are so grateful for your dedication, care, energy, and commitment. You truly are heroes. 💙

🎵 An Incredible Act of Support for Horton Lodge 🎵

We are absolutely delighted to thank everyone at IEIS in Stone for their astonishing donation of £1,000 towards our Horton Lodge music project.

This incredible contribution will have a huge impact on what we are able to provide for our pupils and brings us significantly closer to our goal of creating a music department filled with opportunities for creativity, communication, expression and enjoyment.

When we started this project, we hoped local businesses might share our vision of putting meaningful music opportunities into children's hands. The support from IEIS is a wonderful example of exactly that.

A huge thank you to Karl and everyone at Karl's Tattoos in Leek for supporting our Horton Lodge music project with a £200 donation.
Community support has been at the heart of this project from day one, and it's fantastic to see local independent businesses getting behind our vision of putting meaningful music opportunities into the hands of our pupils.

Every donation helps us move closer to providing instruments, music technology and specialist sensory equipment that will allow our children to explore, create and express themselves through music.

As a business dedicated to helping young people grow in confidence, express themselves and develop through the performing arts, their support means a great deal to us.

Music and movement go hand in hand, and contributions like this help us create opportunities for our pupils to explore, communicate, create and experience the joy of music in their own unique ways.

🌊 A Huge Thank You! 🌊

A massive thank you to Liz at ERA in Leek for their generous £50 donation towards our Horton Lodge music project.

Liz has kindly chosen to sponsor our Ocean Drums, sharing that she loves the sound of the ocean during meditation. We think that's a wonderful connection to make, as Ocean Drums create beautiful calming wave-like sounds that can support relaxation, sensory exploration and musical engagement for our pupils.

Every sponsorship helps us move one step closer to creating meaningful and accessible music opportunities for our children.

We’ve had such a lovely time on our school trip to Ruby’s Fund, got our hands dirty planting flowers ready for the Summer Fayre 🌸🌱, and even went on a buzzing bee hunt for World Bee Day 🐝🔍!
