📣 Attention Working Parents: 30 Hours Funded Childcare Available from September!
From September 2025, many working parents of children aged 9 months and over may be eligible for up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time. This government initiative is designed to support working families with the cost of childcare and help parents return to or remain in work.
✅ Are You Eligible?
You may qualify if:
• You and your partner (if applicable) are each earning at least the equivalent of 16 hours a week at minimum wage.
• You earn less than £100,000 per year individually.
• Your child is the right age for the rollout phase (check age and eligibility on Childcare Choices).
⸻
🌟 Why Choose a Registered Childminder?
Choosing a childminder means your child will benefit from:
• A Warm, Home-from-Home Environment: Children feel safe and nurtured in a cosy setting with a consistent carer.
• Smaller Group Sizes: More one-to-one attention and tailored learning experiences.
• Flexible Hours: Many childminders offer early starts, late finishes, and wraparound care for school-age children.
• Strong Bonds: Children develop close attachments, supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence.
• Learning Through Play: Childminders follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), offering enriching, age-appropriate activities to support development.
