Chapel Allerton Arts Festival 🎉

Wow, what a day we had yesterday at Chapel Allerton Arts Festival! We had so much fun running dance workshops, shaking our poms and taking part in the parade 🥳 Did you spot us? Or maybe you came to our stall to say hello!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a boogie and got involved, it was so lovely to meet so many local families 🫶 And, as always, a massive thank you to my wonderful team of helpers. I genuinely couldn’t do these events without you 💜

This weekend felt like another really special milestone for AKDA. When I first dreamed about starting the academy, this is exactly the kind of event I imagined being part of, getting out into the local area, meeting people and introducing more families to the cheer and dance world ✨

One day, I hope to come back to the festival with a whole squad of AKDA dancers ready to take part in the parade! 🤞✨

Come and dance with us tomorrow 💃

We are so excited to be attending Chapel Allerton Arts Festival tomorrow! We will be on Well Lane and we have lots of exciting things planned 🌟

Come and find us to come and give cheer-dance a go 🤸‍♀️ we will be at our stall all day, and running longer workshops at 1:10 & 2:45.

Also, super exciting, we are walking in the parade 🤩 if you want to join us, come along to one of the workshops to learn the routine and then join us at our stall at 3pm.

If you’re attending class tomorrow, don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes you can move in, bring your water bottle and your dance shoes, but only if you have them ✨

Most importantly, we hope you bring your energy, excitement and are ready to give it your all 🫶 I’m so excited to meet you all tomorrow!

What exactly is the AKDA experience? 🌟

Our Summer Camp gave the children a chance to try different styles, learn fun routines and experience what AKDA is all about. We’re so excited to bring that energy into our weekly classes starting from September!

Whether your child is already dancing at home or they’ve never stepped into a dance class before, we’d love to give them the chance to find a style they love. From the high-energy fun of Pom to the creativity and expression of Jazz & Lyrical, AKDA is a space for children to discover their passion for dance, build their confidence and make new friends along the way ✨

Our September classes are now open for booking, with FREE TRIALS available for every child!

Does your child love making up their own dance routines? 💃

Are they always dancing around the kitchen, putting on a performance or expressing themselves through music? 🎶✨

Then our Jazz & Lyrical class could be the perfect fit for them! 💜

In this class, children get to explore two different dance styles, developing their skills while discovering their own style and creativity.

Jazz is sharp and strong, with dynamic choreography and strong movements. In contrast, Lyrical is soft with fluid movements and encourages children to connect to the music.

Together, these styles help children develop musicality, creativity, and self-expression, all while having lots of fun and learning something new each week ✨

Whether your child is already a keen dancer or simply loves to put on a show at home, we’d love to welcome them to AKDA!
