we recognise we’ve not been active in a while, we’ve been busy coaching a very talented bunch of young footballers, lots of new faces and familiar ones too and the development of players is a pleasure to see.

Aside from the technical side of coaching it is important to acknowledge the mental side. As a coach one of our main jobs is to ensure sessions are executed to the best of our ability, and part of this is prioritising enjoyment. What makes great footballers is the passion they have for the sport and all that passion stems from an innate enthusiasm to play. Therefore sessions need to have the correct balance of work and fun to increase the confidence of young players and their overall mental wellbeing.

Young Seth came to us about a month ago a bit low in confidence and needing to find the joy in football again. Seth is an absolute pleasure to work with and his self-esteem seems to have improved generally , this is obvious in the way he trains at his sessions. All the credit goes to Seth for his improvement, he is a credit to himself with a dash of encouragement from his family and me he has shown incredible character at such a young age to be resilient in the face of challenges; a great example of how hard work, self belief and encouragement is all you need. Be your child’s biggest fan, big them up always it will do them the world of good🖤⚽️
