🎸 Huge well done to one of my young students! 🎉

Learning guitar can feel tricky at first, but they’re proving that age is no barrier when it comes to progress. From learning how to hold the guitar, to learning songs — it’s been amazing to see how far they’ve come!

If you (or someone you know) have always wanted to learn, there’s no such thing as "too young" or "too late"—you just need to start. Why not give it a go? 🎶

Check out their playing in the video below—proper impressive! 👏🎸

🎸 Big shoutout to my student! 🎉

Less than a year ago, he came to me knowing just the basic chords—fast forward to today, and he’s ripping through full solos like a natural! 🎶🔥

His progress is proof that with a bit of dedication (and plenty of practice), you can go from strumming simple chords to playing lead guitar with confidence. If you’ve ever wanted to take your playing to the next level, why not start now?

🎸 Struggling to Change Chords Smoothly? Try This Simple Trick! 🎸

If your chord transitions feel clunky or slow, don’t worry—you’re not alone! Every beginner guitarist has been there. But here’s a quick tip that’ll make your chord changes effortless:

👉 Use an anchor finger! Many chords share a common finger that stays in place. For example, when moving from C to E minor, keep your middle finger planted on the 2nd fret of the D string—this keeps your hand stable and makes the switch way easier.

🎥 Watch the video to see this trick in action!

💬 Give it a go and let me know in the comments—which chord transition is giving you the most trouble? If you need a hand, I teach guitar lessons at the Abbotswood Community Centre just outside Romsey Monday-Thursday 3:30-8pm 🎶

🎸 Massive well done to my student, Jill! 🎉

When she first picked up a guitar, she didn’t know a single chord—fast forward, and now she’s playing beautiful classical pieces with real confidence!

Her progress goes to show that you don’t need natural talent to start—just a bit of patience, practice, and a love for music. If you've ever fancied learning guitar but weren’t sure where to begin, let Jill’s journey be your inspiration!
