Chadwell Pre-school is a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation. We are registered with OfSTED to provide care and education to children aged from two to five years and received an ‘OUTSTANDING’ judgment at our latest inspection in July 2015. We are a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and work closely with the Local Authority Early Years Advisory Team. This ensures we a
re constantly in touch with new thinking in the field of early year’s childcare and education. Chadwell Pre-school offers 15 hours per week free entitlement to all three and four year olds, commencing on the term after their third birthday. We also offer the free entitlement to two year old children who meet the funding criteria. Children are able to stay with us, at the pre-school, until the term after their fifth birthday. It is our admissions policy to take children in birth date order whilst considering the length of time of joining the waiting list. Our session times are:-
Monday to Friday TERM TIME ONLY
9.15 a.m. – 12.15 p.m. We operate a ratio of one member of staff to four children for under three old’s and one member of staff to eight children who are aged over three years. It is our policy that all practitioners (staff) working with children are qualified or are working towards a recognised level 3 qualification. At Chadwell Pre-school, we encourage practitioners to continue with their professional development to ensure a quality workforce for children and their families. We have practitioners qualified at levels 4, 5 and 6.
