In just a few days, Thursday 19th February, Wonderyears turns 30!!!
What began as a simple idea, to care for children while their parents worked, became our life’s work. When we opened our doors, our own children were small and grew up alongside Wonderyears. They played here and then later, on occasions, stood beside us helping to care for others. Our grandchildren now enjoy attending occasionally too!
Through changing times, challenges, laughter, and countless memories, we have had the privilege of caring for thousands of children, leaving a footprint on our hearts. Recently, a former child, now a mother herself, told us her time at Wonderyears was some of the best years of her life. There are no words for what that means to us.
Today we welcome second-generation families, and some children we once cared for even returned as staff. To see the circle continue is deeply humbling.
Wonderyears has never just been a place of care.. it has been purpose woven through three decades. We are incredibly proud, endlessly grateful, and deeply honoured to have shared in so many childhoods.
To every child, every family, every staff member, past and present... thank you. You are the story of Wonderyears.
