Autumn at Lawns Preschool 🍁🍂🥮🎃

The children have been busy exploring all things Autumn the past couple off weeks. They brought in lovely resources for us to use that they collected in the Autumn walk bags we handed out.

We used these resources to create some beautiful artwork, explore in our sensory tray and they even tasted some pumpkin soup for snack that was made using the vegetables and pumpkin they chopped yesterday 🍽️🥣

Preschool Manager (Term-Time Only)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Preschool Manager to join our team on a term-time only basis. The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have at least two years of proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting.

This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for young children.

Some of our activities over the last few weeks at Lawns preschool. We have been busy with healthy eating week, getting ready to transition to school, celebrating world fairy day and enjoying our last few weeks with children's choices. We are looking forward to graduation tomorrow for our older children, as much as we will miss them, we know they are so ready! 🎓

Celebrating world Ocean day today at Lawns Preschool.
The children explored the different animals found in the ocean and had fun at the beach. They also got to create their own playdough ocean scenes and decorate their very own Rainbow fish 🐟🐠

The children also celebrated Dinosaur day last week, they explored the different species, made silhouette pictures and we spoke about volcanoes and the science behind how they erupt.

Welcome to Lawns Preschools Florist. Learning about the life cycle of plants this week and what they need to survive and flourish. The children will be decorating pots and planting their own sunflowers this week too 🌻🌻🌻

Last week and this weeks focus has been animals from around the world.
The children have been learning facts about different animals in their different habitats and dietary needs. They have been exploring them in different activities and resources and even got to meet some real life furry and scaley friends 🐹🦎

We hope all you mummies, Nannie's, parents and carers have the best Mother's Day on Sunday and enjoyed your cards and cake with the children this week 🥰

The last few weeks the children have been role playing amongst themselves in the garden, selling imaginative ice cream in our garden house, so this week we decided to follow this interest and make it even more special for them. They have really enjoyed making their creations and 'selling' their ice creams to each other! Although, some of them were very pricey 🤣.

Some of our activities over the last couple of weeks at Lawns preschool.
We have been exploring the changes now we are heading into the spring season and what that has to offer / bring. The beautiful blossom has been falling from our plum tree in the garden, offering lots of talk about season changes and what will happen next.

Celebrating world book week and Shrove Tuesday (Pancake day) at Lawns Pre-school 🥞🍋🫐

The children have been celebrating world book day the last two weeks with different themed activities to their favourite books! They have really enjoyed creating playdough pancakes today and tomorrow they can't wait to taste some for snack!

This week the children at Lawns Preschool Romford focussed on their emotions and expressed what makes them happy, sad, angry, surprised and excited. They shared their thoughts and ideas during circle time, used loose parts to create their own faces and enjoyed exploring the colour monster story.
