✨ How tutoring works at Molly Jean Tuition ✨

Every child learns differently, so sessions are designed to be flexible, supportive and confidence-building from the very start.

There are two main approaches to tutoring:

📘 Student-led sessions
These focus on the topics your child is currently learning at school. We reinforce classroom maths, revisit tricky areas, and give pupils the time and space to ask questions — helping lessons make more sense and boosting confidence alongside their school studies.

🎓 Tutor-led structured sessions
These follow a clear scheme of work aligned with the national curriculum. They’re ideal for identifying and closing learning gaps, building strong foundations, or preparing KS4/5 students for exams with focused practice.

While these are the main structures, no session is ever “one size fits all.” Every lesson is adapted to suit the individual pupil — their pace, their needs, and their confidence. The goal is always to help learners feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.

With GCSE maths exams coming up, it’s really important that students are practising with the right calculator 👀✏️

It is recommend that students have either of the following calculators:

✅ Casio fx-83GT CW
✅ Casio fx-85GT CW

Both models are fully approved for GCSE Mathematics exams and are ideal for everything students need at this level.

Using the correct calculator now helps students feel confident and prepared on exam day 💪✨
