Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

💙✨Today our Big Cooks enjoyed their final class of the term by creating some delicious Profiteroles. From mastering the choux pastry to filling and decorating their desserts, they put all the skills they’ve developed this term into practice—and the results were fantastic!

We are so incredibly proud of this group. They have come such a long way over the past few months, growing in confidence, developing new skills, and embracing every challenge with enthusiasm. Seeing them use everything they’ve learned to create these beautiful desserts was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work and progress.

Well done! We hope you all have a fantastic break, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve next term. 🧁👏💙

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

Last night our Big Cooks created this delicious summer dish - Vegetable Orzo!

They carefully chopped their vegetables using the skills we’ve been learning over the last couple of weeks. Cooked them using our portable hobs and created this yummy dish.

If you’d like your child to gain some independence in the kitchen, but don’t want to deal with the mess at home, then get in touch to be added to the waiting list for our September course.

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

☀️ This afternoon we enjoyed making some delicious Tuna Melt Nachos together! A quick and easy recipe that’s perfect for warm summer days, taking just five minutes under the grill before they were ready to enjoy. 🧀🐟

Afterwards, we took our learning outside and had a chat about the importance of staying hydrated, especially during the hot weather we’re experiencing. 💧 Staying hydrated is essential for maintaining good health and wellbeing.☀️😊

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

🌟 Our Big Cooks were busy in the kitchen this afternoon, creating these delicious Ham, Cheese & Broccoli Parcels! 🌟

They showed fantastic cooking skills by making a creamy cheese sauce completely from scratch, before adding ham and broccoli to create the filling. They then carefully assembled everything into these wonderful parcels.

The results were absolutely delicious! 👏🧀🥦

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

What a busy week it’s been!

I’ve just realised I forgot to share our photos from Tuesday’s Big Cooks class. The children made a delicious Sausage and Rice dish, using their knife skills to prepare the vegetables before cooking on our portable hobs.

They cooked the rice, fried the sausages and vegetables, and then combined everything to make this tasty meal. It’s great to see them growing in confidence with their cooking skills!

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

We were delighted to welcome our Big Cooks back to the cabin this afternoon to start another term of cooking fun!

Everyone got stuck in making a tasty vegetable sauce from scratch. This versatile sauce can be used in all sorts of dishes including pasta, pizza and meatballs. 🍅🍝

Baking Club - Thursday 3:30pm

Despite some unusual circumstances (a power cut at the school) at Baking Club today the children handled everything brilliantly.

Everyone stayed positive and adaptable throughout. The children have now taken their Apple and Raisin Rock Cakes home to bake, and we’re looking forward to hearing how they turn out!

Big Cooks - Tuesday 4:00pm

What fun our Big Cooks had this afternoon creating their delicious Mille Feuilles! 🍓🍰

They quickly discovered just how hard work whipping cream can be, but they all did a fantastic job creating and carefully stacking their tasty treats. There were lots of smiles, teamwork, and impressive desserts by the end of the session! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Baking Club - Thursday 3:30pm

What a fantastic session our Baking Club had today! 🍠🥦 The children did an amazing job making Sweet Potato and Broccoli Biscuits, and they turned out delicious! Even some of our cooks, who weren’t too sure about broccoli at first, decided the biscuits were rather yummy after all. 😊

While the biscuits were baking, we also enjoyed exploring some broccoli up close — looking at its texture, smell, and all the interesting little details. A wonderful afternoon full of baking, tasting, and learning!
