School Leavers Graduation 2026 🎓

We had a wonderful time celebrating our School Leavers Graduation at Hedgehogs! It was a special occasion to mark the children's journey with us and celebrate all they have achieved.

The children delighted everyone with their singing before proudly receiving their graduation certificates, a special photo frame, and their very own mini Hedgehogs keepsake.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea together, followed by lots of fun playing on the field.

We are so proud of each and every one of our school leavers and wish them all the very best as they begin their exciting new adventures at school. Good luck, we know you'll all do amazing things! 🌟

We had a great time with some of our Hedgehogs dads on Friday to celebrate Father's day. We playede games out on the field and enjoyed some delicious food together! 🦔⚽🍽️

Yesterday at nursery we had a lovely time getting into the Easter spirit! 🐣🌸

The children enjoyed making their very own Easter crowns, decorating them however they liked. Some chose to draw colourful designs, while others had fun using stickers to make their creations unique. One child even decided she wanted bunny ears on her crown, which looked fantastic! 🐰

Those who wanted to then proudly wore their crowns while we all sat down together to enjoy a delicious Easter roast dinner. It was such a special moment sharing food, creativity, and lots of smiles together. 💛

Last week we had a fantastic week celebrating British Science Week! 🔬✨

The children have loved exploring a range of fun science experiments from making predictions, mixing colours, and watching in amazement as potions fizzed and even a balloon started to blow itself up! 🎈🧪

It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they asked questions, tested their ideas, and discovered just how exciting science can be. A brilliant week full of learning, laughter and lots of messy fun! 🌈

This afternoon we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea together with some of our lovely Mummies. We all tucked into some yummy food, some of which the children helped to make themselves!

After tea, the children had lots of fun making special cards, listening to stories, and proudly showing their mummies around the setting while they played together. It was such a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, creativity, and special moments shared together. 💕

📖 Happy World Book Day!📚

We’ve had a lovely week celebrating books at nursery. The children enjoyed listening to stories, exploring book-themed activities and bringing their favourite stories to life through role play – including The Three Little Pigs, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom.

Our babies also enjoyed a special trip to the library, and it was wonderful to see some children come dressed up as their favourite characters!

A fun week full of imagination and a love of reading. To ignite a life long love of reading!

🧧🐉 Celebrating Chinese & Lunar New Year! 🐉🧧

Over the past two weeks, we have been enjoying learning about and celebrating the Lunar New Year. The children have loved dressing up in authentic traditional clothing and exploring different cultural experiences.

We have also been reading lots of books about Chinese New Year, which sparked wonderful discussions and curiosity. After seeing families in the stories using chopsticks, the children were very keen to have a go themselves!

To develop our fine motor skills, we practised using chopsticks to pick up pom-poms and pieces of fruit. This was a fun (and sometimes tricky!) challenge that everyone was excited to try.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a very special meal together. The children helped to prepare vegetables, spring rolls, and noodles, practising their cutting and food preparation skills. They then had the opportunity to eat their delicious meal using chopsticks too!

It has been wonderful to see the children’s perseverance, confidence, and willingness to try something new.
