Across all Medway schools and settings, “City Way Day Nursery have returned 100% of MASH checks that were both high quality and within timescales”

Some of our feedback includes:

“ Your nursery has done a lovely job building eco-learning into everyday experiences,
It’s great to see children noticing changes in their environment, asking questions and showing real curiosity about the world around them. Moments like children carefully finding bugs and placing them in the bug hotel while asking about their habitats and diets show how much their understanding is growing. This has had such a positive impact on the
nursery community by helping children feel confident, involved and excited about caring for nature.
• We loved reading about your eco-learning moments this year, especially through the environmentally themed bunting that helped children recognise and talk about objects in their environment. A lovely example was a child pointing to
the rainbow and saying, “I seen a rainbow in my garden,” showing how confidently they were making real-life links. This simple activity had a positive impact by sparking curiosity and encouraging children to share their own experiences.
• Planting herbs and vegetables was another great success, giving children hands-on experience of caring for living things. They enjoyed planting seeds, watering them and watching them grow, which really strengthened their understanding of sustainability. This has had such a positive impact on the nursery community by helping children feel
proud, responsible and excited about looking after their world.
• You have done a great job keeping children and families involved in its eco-work.
It’s had such a strong impact by helping children and the whole nursery community feel connected, informed and excited about taking small steps to help the planet”

Our toddler room have had a brilliant time looking at the different seasons and what what we can grow! We have radish and dill and lots more growing! We’ve also gone on a bear hunt!! 🐻
