So, lovely people, anyone want to say hello and introduce themselves?

Well, it's been a busy few months!
For some reason, Facebook won't let me edit my location, but we have moved a very long way and are now based in Cornwall!

We are still finding time to play in the woods, even though the house is absolute house-move chaos.....

Hi all!
The reason I've been quiet for a wee while is that I'm packing up to move house. Not sure what format the outdoor play will take after I've moved, as I'm moving over 300 miles away.....
Best I can say is "watch this space"!

Even a small pond can be home to an interesting range of wildlife, including damsel and dragonflies, frogs and newts.

Clever....

I grow willow in my garden at home. You can buy it as whips to plant out, but it's so easy to cultivate, if you know someone who'll let you have a few "twiggy end bits" (technical term..🤣)you can easily grow your own. Between around November and March you can just poke the twiggy bits into the ground and keep them damp, or if you prefer you can stick a few twigs in a jam jar with water until roots start to sprout. Willow grows over 10 feet a year, so in the autumn you can cut it to make stuff. And grow some more.
Anyway, there's been some willow fettling today....it was starting to look a bit Blair Witch at one point, but these are festive stars, honest!

Half term in the bag.Roll on Christmas. 🤣

It's always really exciting to see conkers! I love this time of year, when there are fruits and nuts bursting forth all over the place. This is just a tiny selection from walking my son to school this morning.
Who has hazel nuts this year? More to the point, who manages to harvest any hazel nuts in the 3 minute window between Ripe and Squirrel? 🤣

Ah, remember this? They worked really hard that afternoon!
