ST MARY’S CHANGEMAKERS – ONE MILE AT A TIME!
Throughout the year, our St Mary’s Changemaker Project encourages every child to recognise that they can make a difference – whether through a small act of kindness, helping others, supporting a cause or taking action to make our world a better place.

Zack and Seb are doing exactly that this summer! They are taking on the A Mile a Day Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer, completing a mile every day by walking, running, cycling or scooting.

We are incredibly proud of Zack and Seb for continuing to be St Mary’s Changemakers even during the holidays and showing that even the smallest steps can make a big difference.

✨ Looking back at some of the fantastic activities from last term! ✨
Our KS1 Cooking Club had a wonderful time making delicious chocolate cornflake and Rice Krispie cakes. The children carefully mixed the ingredients together before spooning the mixture into cupcake cases, showing great concentration and developing their fine motor skills along the way. The best part? Taking home a tasty treat to enjoy! 😋

One final walk... one final goodbye... and one final journey as St Mary's pupils.

From opening the time capsules they created at the beginning of the year, to signing shirts filled with messages of friendship, laughter and love, and finally walking beneath the human arches as they left the school gates for the very last time as St Mary's pupils... this clip captures just a few of the moments on our Year 6 Class of 2026 final day.

We couldn't be prouder of every single one of you. You have laughed, learned, grown and shone so brightly throughout your time at St Mary's. Now it's time for your next adventure.

As we continue to celebrate our amazing Year 6 pupils, we wanted to share a special moment from their time at St Mary's - our Year 6 Leavers' Service.

Surrounded by our whole school community and lots of our families, each Year 6 pupil shared a favourite memory from their time at St Mary's before being presented with their own Bible.

A huge thank you to Reverend Gary, Reverend Chris and all of our staff for making the service such a meaningful and memorable occasion.

Our Year 6 children enjoyed two fantastic Leavers' Parties – an afternoon of fun on giant bouncy castles at school, and a brilliant Hawaiian-themed evening with their families and friends.

There was so much laughter, friendship and fun, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

🌟 And now it's time to celebrate our incredible Year 6 class... 🌟

Over the next few days, we'll be sharing some special moments as we celebrate this amazing group of children and everything they have achieved during their time at St Mary's.

We couldn't start anywhere else than with their brilliant Year 6 production, Gigglebox! 🤣 What a performance it was! From the hilarious one-liners to the fantastic acting, singing and confidence on stage, our Year 6 children had the audience laughing from beginning to end. We are so proud of every single one of them.

Here's to our wonderful Year 6s… and yes, we definitely had some giggles with Gigglebox!

Today we celebrated our incredible St Mary’s Changemakers!
Throughout the year, our children have embraced six different Changemaker challenges, each linked to one of our school values. Every challenge has encouraged them to live out our vision, showing that even the smallest act of kindness or courage can have a lasting impact.
Today, those children who completed all six challenges were awarded their special Changemaker badge, enjoyed a well-deserved 🍦 ice cream treat and extra break-time in recognition of their perseverance and commitment.
We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. They have shown that age is no barrier to making a difference and that every voice matters. By choosing kindness, serving others and taking action within their communities, they have truly shone their light brightly this year.
Congratulations to all of our Changemakers - you are making our school, our community and our world a better place.

Year 5 Maths Challenge at Rickmansworth School! 🧮🏆

Our students gave it their all in a closely fought competition, with some brilliant teamwork and problem-solving throughout.

🥇 Ricky Park – 1st Place (41/45)
🥈 St Mary’s Boys Team – 2nd Place (40/45)
🥉 St Mary’s Girls Team – 3rd Place (37/45)

It was an incredibly close contest, but most importantly, all of the students had fun, challenged themselves, and represented their schools brilliantly. Well done to everyone who took part! 👏
