The first 5G network in the world went live in 2019, and as of today, at least 209 operators in 83 countries have 5G networks available. Compared to earlier network technologies, 5G offers significantly better performance.

The technology industry is known for developing cutting-edge products in a timely and transparent manner. Despite the fact that startups and academia have a lot in common, tech companies are under extra pressure to make decisions and implement results quickly in order to avoid going out of business. Entrepreneurs, like scientists, conduct research, brainstorm, test, and iterate on ideas.
Academics desire to be published. Companies want to make money. What's the point of collaborating more closely when something valuable in one arena isn't as valuable in the other?

Because no one, is offering tech careers to women as alternatives and because they are unsure of what working in the field entails, women are hesitant to pursue them. They continue to believe that a career in technology is not for them because there aren't enough female role models for them.
