This week we held our Upper School prize-giving evening at St Anne's Church. Congratulations to all our pupils that won an award, we are very proud of you. Well done to our musical performers of the evening, we are lucky to have such talented pupils. We are looking forward to September and the start of a new school year 🙌🏆📗

This week our Choir took to Venice, Italy to perform a concert at Basilica Santi Giovanni E Paolo, one of the largest churches in Venice. As well as performing we made traditional Italian masks, went on a boat trip and indulged in delicious Italian food 🇮🇹🎭🎶

This week 8 boys from Year 6 went to Harrow School to play in the U11 Cricket IAPS festival. The hardball competition involved 12 schools split into 3 groups. The boys were up against some impressive opposition and worked brilliantly as a team. They played some fantastic cricket, winning the Bowl competition in style. Well done to everyone for all your hard work 🏏

Earlier this term, all our Year 5 pupils auditioned for a place at the Epsom College Drama Masterclass – and there were nine lucky winners. On Wednesday, they travelled to Epsom where they spent the day with five other schools preparing for a production of ‘Matilda.’ They sang, danced and recited lines all day and then performed in front of their parents. Thank you Epsom College for hosting us, we had an amazing day 🙌

Last week we held our Lower School Fun Run on Kew Green. It was a fun and successful event. Well done to everyone who ran and thank you to our parents for coming to support us and run the final lap with us 🏃

Today our Year 6 pupils had their cricket fixture against Broomfield School. We drew one match and won the other. There was great sportsmanship, confidence and collaboration on the field today. Well done to everyone who played 🏏

Our 'Friends of Kew Green Prep' run a Secondhand Uniform Sale which happens in our school playground. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and strengthen our KGPS community. We hope to see you at the next one 🙌

'Bikeability' week at KGPS 🚴
This week our Year 6s took part in the Bikeability course. The purpose of 'Bikeability' is to ensure the safety and confidence of our pupils while cycling. After participating they were better at responding to risks on the road and more pupils wanted to cycle to school. Thank you Bikeability for coming to our school and helping us feel more confident and independent while cycling within our community.

Last week we were visited by Onatti Productions Ltd who performed a French play about an English student on a Ski Trip in France, who injures his leg and has to navigate his way through a French hospital with little understanding and speaking of French. We had lots of laughs and learnt new French phrases and words. Thank you for your wonderful performance 🇫🇷🎭
