This term our students were asked to use contrasting images to construct a frame and then fill the void, to guide the viewer’s gaze and create a narrative.

Richmond School of Painting provides painting and drawing classes for Adults.The focus of the school is on painting and drawing from observation.
There are three terms per year: Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. The Autumn term will start on the 26th of September 2017. Classes are running on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays. Tuesdays 11:00-14:00, 15:00-18:00 and 19:00-21:30. Wednesday 10:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00 and 19:00-22:00. Thursdays 10:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00. Saturday 10:00-13.00 and 14:00-17:00

This term, we'll explore the art of framing, focusing on how painted frames and shapes can direct the viewer's gaze, add depth, and tell a story within a painting. We'll also cover the practical aspects of framing finished pieces.
There’s still a few spaces in our classes. Contact us on our website to set up a trial class.
