I see changing rooms that were so grim they were recently used in a BBC drama as an old army barracks (Collateral, BBC episode 2). It's time for a change, especially to meet community need.

So, a week after fabulous AS and A2 results and once again the staff and students here at Grey Court are smiling. In a year of change, Grey Court has bucked the national trend.

Highlights:
A/A* grades (and the new 8/9 grades) were exceptionally high at around 45% of all GCSE grades awarded to our students.
10% of the year group gained a 9 in Maths compared with the national figure of only 3%.
100% A*-C for Biology, Chemistry, & Physics
As always we thank our wonderfully resourceful and dedicated teachers.
"As Headteacher I feel immensely proud of the achievements of our young people - Well done everybody.” Maggie Bailey

.
The high standards that were laid down last year have been exceeded by our students in 2017.
Of the 26 subjects on offer at Grey Court, students performed above national standards in 24 of them.
Traditional subjects such as Physics, Biology, Geography and Languages attained particualrly well with 80% of all subject grades being A*-B.
Value added measures indicate that the Grey Court Sixth Form is comfortably in the top 10% of A'Level Providers.
Headtea
cher Maggie Bailey: “These results highlight how Grey Court is an environment where excellence is expected of the staff and students.”

Notable successes included Ella Davies, Nina Hempstead and Nicolas Berridge-Argent who all gained 3 A* with Ella Davies due to take up a place to read Chemistry at Oxford and Nina Hempstead to read languages at Bath. In addition, Amelia Sadat has been offered a place at Cambridge University to read Natural Sciences and Omar Shabana becomes another Grey Court student to study medicine at University.
With higher level apprenticeships also proving to be a popular alternative to university special mention should also be made to Tom Jeffrey who secured an apprenticeship in Business with Bloomberg Media. Roman Barbieri’s grades enabled him to take up the offer of an apprenticeship as a financial auditor in the City of London.
