π±π Our Little Lambs have certainly caught the gardening bug! ππ±
Over the past few weeks, our Little Lambs have shown a fantastic interest in growing and caring for their very own garden. We currently have mint, raspberries, strawberries, potatoes and chilli peppers growing beautifully. We have also welcomed a new tomato plant, rhubarb and even more mint to our growing collection! Thanks to Gill from Strawberry gardens for her continued support and inspiration ππ₯π

Teaching sustainability from an early age is incredibly important. By growing our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, we are learning about caring for the environment, and making the most of natural resources.
The best part? Once our produce is ready to harvest, we'll be using it right here at Little Lambs!
Our Little Lambs will be able to experience the full journey from seed to plate β¨
We can't wait to see what grows next! π±π
A fantastic day of learning and professional development today at the National Education Show, incorporating the ALN & SEN Show, in Llandudno. National Education Show
We were proud to send managers Carla from Little Lambs Preschool and Becky from Little Lambs Emmanuel, to attend a range of inspiring talks and workshops covering inclusion, belonging, neurodiversity, leadership and supporting children with additional learning needs.π₯°π₯°
Weβre looking forward to bringing new ideas, knowledge and resources back into our settings to continue providing the very best experiences for our children and families.
Always learning, always striving to be better. ππ

Our Little Lambs thoroughly enjoyed our colour-changing water activity. They worked together exceptionally well, collaborating for an extended period as they explored the resources and shared ideas.
Using jugs, spoons, and containers, the children scooped, poured, and transferred water between trays. They were particularly interested in tipping water down the guttering to transport it from one tray to another, demonstrating problem-solving skills and teamwork as they worked together to keep the water flowing.
As the activity progressed, the children observed the colours mixing and changing. This engaging activity supported communication, cooperation, early scientific thinking, and fine motor development, while encouraging the children to explore, investigate, and learn together through play. π¦π

Our After school club were invited to explore their creativity through a wonderful ocean-themed invitation.
Using visual aids of the ocean as inspiration, they designed their own unique masterpieces, full of imagination and colour.
The activity was such a huge hit that weβve recreated the invitation for our smaller Little Lambs at playgroup, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the same creative experience. From our smallest to biggest Lambs there were some amazing creations made! π¬π

This week we focused on developing life skills by practising hanging washing on a mini clothesline. πππ§¦
Everyone had the opportunity to peg items independently, helping to build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and confidence. ππ
It was a fun and practical activity that encouraged independence while learning an important everyday task. ππ»π§¦π§€

π NEW FRUIT ADVENTURE π
Before half term, our After school club asked for new fruits to tryβ¦ so we got to work! π
Today our fruit station is packed with exciting choices including kiwi, nectarines, melon, citrus fruits and more for the children to explore through taste, smell, texture and discussion.
Listening to childrenβs voices isnβt just something we say β itβs something we do π
We canβt wait to see what fruit they will try first! ππ₯π

ππΌ Happy Worldly Wednesday! πΌπ
This week we visited the land of bees and honey! The children enjoyed exploring the wonderful world of bees, tasting delicious honey, and discovering where honey comes from. π―β¨
We also talked about how important bees are to our world and how they help flowers grow and support nature all around us. The children loved learning about these busy little creatures and why we should care for them. ππ
A sweet and exciting day filled with discovery, learning, and fun! π»π―
