We had our Ofsted inspection this morning and it went really well, I will share the offical report when it is ready in a few weeks.
All the children were amazing, I am very proud of them all. So as a treat we had ice cream and made a stop on the way home to pick some sunflowers🍦 🌻

We have had a little move around this week.
I had noticed the toy shop wasn't getting used very much, so I removed it and added a storage cube in its place. I also bought a new smaller kitchen and a wall shelf unit, again to give us more space. The new safety gate offers the children to explore freely from both rooms safetly, which the children have loved exploring all the new resources and extra space this week😊.

I know most of you haven't been inside for a while due to Covid, so here is a little video of our new space.

Our bananas went quite ripe due to the heat this weekend, so it only meant one thing...banana bread!🍌🍞😋

Here's also some things we have been up to recently...
The children absolutely loved the cardboard boxes and turned them into a house, shop, vet and castle..endless hours of fun!😊
We have been getting crafty too making dinosaurs and our very own froggy game🦕🐸
Layla even found some caterpillars in the garden and made them a home ready in hope that they turn into some very colourful 🦋

Some things that the children have been getting up to these last couple of weeks.
We also have two new guinea pigs, Ginger and Biscuit, that have joined us at Chickadees. The children love watching them play and help to feed them.

Just look at the two photos, amazing what our bones do isn't it?. This is why we always do some sort of marking making, scissor work, threading or playdoh etc everyday to develop fine motor skills and get those little fingers working, helping to prepare them for when they start school❤👐

We went on a bear hunt today. We didn't find any bears, but we did find lots of sticks!

The children have had lots of fun for pancake day today🥞. We made our own play-doh this morning, cutting out different shapes and even having a go at flipping them in the pan.
After tea we made our own pancakes, yum yum!

We have just spent the last time of 2020 at Chickadees enjoying a hot chocolate, biscuit and a christmas film🎅😊
I am now on annual leave and would like to wish all my families a very Merry Christmas. I look forward to seeing you all for hopefully a better 2021🥂
