Paul Jenkin Minescape Artwork I was born in Redruth, that's my best qualification to date I am a self taught artist I work mostly in acrylic but am just as happy doing mixed media work.

Cornish Artist specialising in Cornish history and Cornish mining illustrations, I produce Cards Prints Bookmarks and Keyrings from my original Illustrations and Paintings. e knees if I get a commission to work from an original black and white photo from the 1800s I suppose my best learnt skill is sketch work and my accurate study, Art for me as a Cornishman has taken me on a journey into Cornish Language, Nationalism and a learning of some wider issues that affect Kernow as a Celtic Nation

The Camborne Illogan Mining District circa 1900 part of the Central Mining District, looking East over the Tuckingmill valley from the Dolcoath surface works at Camborne..
The artwork is from my original sketch in graphite taken from a black and white photograph, and I've now painted it in colour in acrylic on my own handmade artboard. Size 30X24 Approx 40 hours work.

I did this sketch in graphite back in 2003 it's on 250gsm card and sealed, that I've pasted onto board, its the Camborne Illogan Mining District, the image is scaled up from a photo taken circa 1900 in the Central Mining Area of Cornwall GB I always intended to paint this, but procrastination got in the way. So I'm finally going to paint it.
I'm also doing some videos of the mining history and my progress as the colours build up. More to follow.
