Hi, I’m Lauren 👋🏼 I currently work part time in a local school, and am hoping to expand my cello teaching business on the side - combining my love of playing cello and my passion for helping children to learn has always been a dream of mine. I have spaces available for beginner pupils (minimum age 6), and can do day times, after school, evenings and weekends, and teach from two different locations - Four Lanes and Mullion. I have options for cello rental for those of you who would like to give it a try before committing to buying, and of course if you find it’s not for you, there’s no commitment to stay. It’s a pay weekly arrangement - you only pay for the lessons you attend. I was honoured to play the cello at my brother’s wedding, along with my sister and friends 🥰 We played music from the film ‘Master and Commander’ (Boccherini) as they walked down the aisle, and a ‘Zelda’ medley (that we had arranged ourselves) as they walked back… and in the evening we played jigs and reels so everyone could have a dance 🎶🎵🎶😄

A bit about me…
I’m a grade 8 cellist and have played cello since I was a young girl. I just love the beautiful sound the cello can make, and I really enjoy playing together with my sister on the violin and my mum on the piano. I come from a musical family, and both my mum and sister are professional music teachers.
I have over 15 years experience of working with young children in various settings, and know that every child learns differently and at their own pace. I use all of this experience to make sure I deliver lessons that are fun, interesting and tailored to my pupils interests and needs.
Learning an instrument can be challenging at times, but playing the cello has brought me such joy, and I hope to help others discover this for themselves too.
