Mr Burrowes and Miss Hodges have some exciting news to share...
Southcote Primary once again entered the Tilehurst Panthers Primary Schools tournament, which took place at Linear Park, Calcot yesterday. Our after school Yr 5 and Yr 6 football club girls played some amazing football, reaching the Trophy Final after a nerve jangling sudden death penalty shoot-out! Our team won 4-0 in the final!
We are so proud of our girls for taking part in our after school football adventures!
Well done and thanks to the girls for their great teamwork and also to the parents for their amazing support and encouragement!! ππβ½

Day 2 for our 2nd group was a very wet one! We embraced the weather though and set off to make shelters in the woods, some using the rain to their advantage to include homely features like a working shower! As the rain continued, we took part in some command tasks in the barn. After lunch, the rain cleared for our walk to Bradfield for swimming. We enjoyed a bbq for our final evening and then went up to the bonfire for Southcote's Got Talent and some marshmallows. Camp is currently being packed up so that we can embark on our final day of activities!

Day 1 for our new campers at Rushall. After settling into tents, the children made rafts for teddies, which they sailed down the Pang. Returning to camp, they did some pond dipping and saw the bees. After lunch and some free time, they split into two groups and either went to the farm or canoeing, swapping after dinner. All campers are well rested and ready for a wet day on camp!

Day 2 pictures from Rushall. The children enjoyed running around, orienteering across the site, followed by pond dipping with many tadpoles fished out. After lunch we walked to Bradfield College for a swim before we had our BBQ dinner and Southcote's Got Talent by the firepit. Some toasted marshmallows may have also been eaten!
