A few weeks ago, I received a message from a young lad who had a medical coming up through work. He’d been told he needed to lose weight, and he wanted some help.
He committed to making some changes to his diet and, over the last two weeks, he has absolutely smashed it. 👏🏼
He’s completed 5 PT sessions with me, stepped completely outside of his comfort zone and trusted me and the process — doing things he’d never done before.
And the results?
⬇️ 3.8lbs down on my scales
📉 Body fat down
💪🏼 Muscle gained
📉 Visceral fat down
But honestly, the numbers aren’t even my favourite part.
Watching him turn up, push himself, try things that were completely new to him and realise what he is actually capable of has been incredible.
He could have focused on the fact that he “needed to lose weight”… instead, he’s started building healthier habits, getting stronger and gaining confidence.
I am SO proud of you. ❤️
This is exactly why I love what I do.
It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about showing yourself that you can make changes, you can step outside your comfort zone and you can achieve things you never thought you could.
And this is only the beginning. 👊🏼🔥

Me. 41 years old, a mum of 4, a PT for the last 8+ years… and still very much a work in progress. ❤️
I’ve decided to give myself the next 6 months to see what I can achieve with my own fitness.
Not because I think I need to be smaller.
But because I want to see what my body is capable of.
I want to build muscle, get stronger, improve my fitness and learn some things I’ve always wanted to do.
My goals are:
💪 Build more muscle & strength
⬆️ Improve my chin-ups
🤸🏼♀️ Learn to handstand — and eventually hold and walk on my hands
🏃🏼♀️ Become a stronger, more confident runner
🔥 Take on the Deadly Dozen in just 5 weeks
🏋🏼♀️ Keep progressing with my strength training
❤️ Feel strong, capable and confident in my body
And I know it won’t all be straightforward.
I have bulging discs in my neck and ongoing hip dysplasia problems, so some things will need adapting. I’ve already had to change my training because of my neck, and I’m learning that adapting your training doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means you’re finding another way forward.
And honestly, I’m excited about that.
Because I think sometimes we convince ourselves that if we’re 30, 40, 50 or beyond, or if we have injuries, niggles, responsibilities, children, work or simply haven’t trained for years… that certain things are no longer for us.
I don’t believe that.
You don’t have to be the fittest person in the gym.
You don’t need to start perfectly.
You don’t need to have loads of time.
You just need to start somewhere.
Then keep showing up.
So this is my little experiment for the next 6 months.
I’m going to train, adapt when I need to, fuel my body, work on my weaknesses and see what happens when I consistently give myself the same effort and encouragement that I give my clients.
And if you’re watching this thinking, “I’d love to do something like that but I’m too old / too unfit / too busy / too far behind…”
Maybe you can.
Maybe you just need to start with one small thing.
This isn’t about becoming a different person.
It’s about finding out what this version of me can do. ❤️
6 months.
Let’s see what happens. 💪🏼
