We want to talk about our tutors.
At Tutor Doctor, there’s no “one type” of tutor.
Some are qualified teachers still working in schools.
Some have stepped away from the classroom but still love helping young people learn.
Others are graduates, teaching assistants or professionals who simply have a passion for their subject and want to make a difference.
What they all share is the ability to connect, encourage and inspire confidence.
👩🏫 The Qualified Teacher
Experienced, knowledgeable and deeply familiar with the UK curriculum. Often teaching during the day and tutoring in the evenings to give students more personalised support.
🌿 The Ex-Teacher
Still passionate about education, but looking for a healthier and more flexible way to teach. Tutoring allows them to focus on what matters most — the student.
🎓 The University Student
Bright, relatable and inspiring. Many of our students connect incredibly well with tutors who have recently walked the same academic path themselves.
🔬 The Subject Specialist
Professionals working in areas like maths, science or English who want to share their expertise and inspire the next generation.
Because tutoring isn’t just about improving grades.
It’s about helping a young person feel more confident, capable and supported along the way.
And for our tutors?
It’s rewarding, flexible, meaningful work that genuinely changes lives.
If you would like more information about becoming a tutor or if your child is struggling, simply reach out to us and we can have a no obligation conversation.

Watching your child struggle with school stress is tough and more pressure rarely helps. The right support builds confidence gently, without adding to the overwhelm. Discover how 👇
How to Help Your Child Manage School Stress Without Adding Pressure
Most children feel school stress at some point. For some, it shows up as tears over homework. For others, it’s irritability or suddenly “forgetting” about deadlines. As parents, it’s hard to watch and can make you feel out of your depth. The instinct is often to fix it quickly or push a litt...

Food for thought ? …., ⬇️
Family mealtimes are more than just eating together. Studies show that children who share dinner with their family four or more times a week perform better academically. These shared meals provide a consistent opportunity for learning, communication, and connection.
During family dinners, children practice conversation skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Parents naturally guide discussions, answer questions, and help children process ideas. This consistent interaction strengthens language development and comprehension, skills that transfer directly to school performance.
Beyond academics, family meals promote emotional well-being. Regular mealtime together builds a sense of stability, security, and belonging. Children who feel supported and connected at home are more confident, attentive, and resilient, which can improve focus and learning in the classroom.
Encouraging even a few family dinners each week can make a noticeable difference. The act of sharing food, stories, and attention teaches children valuable social skills while boosting their cognitive development. These simple habits create lasting benefits for both the mind and the heart.

You didn’t stop loving teaching.
You just needed a different way to do it.
Many ex-teachers find tutoring allows them to reconnect with the part they loved most:
Helping students grow in confidence and ability without the pressures of the classroom environment.
Flexible. Rewarding. Meaningful.
If this is something you have been considering we would love to hear from you.

We cannot deny that with AI being used more frequently in the workplace people need to understand it but do you agree children as young as 6 should be learning how to use it ?
Starting September 2025, every primary and secondary student in China will receive mandatory AI education - even six-year-olds must complete at least eight hours of AI instruction annually. This isn't an optional tech elective anymore. Schools across the country are now scrambling to train teachers, redesign curricula, and integrate artificial intelligence into core subjects like science and technology.
This move represents China's calculated bet on the future workforce. While other nations debate whether children should even interact with AI technology, China is ensuring an entire generation grows up comfortable with AI tools rather than intimidated by them. The policy aims to embed AI literacy as fundamentally as reading or math, preparing students for a world where AI proficiency could determine career prospects.
The implications extend far beyond China's borders. What happens to global competitiveness when one country systematically develops AI-native thinking in millions of students from age six, while others treat it as advanced coursework for high schoolers? As Chinese students graduate with years of structured AI education, the talent gap could reshape entire industries. The question isn't whether this approach will work - it's whether other education systems can afford to wait and see."
