Yesterday some Year 2 children took part in a “Happy in Nature Challenge Day” at Bulmershe. The children had to create an animal to represent kindness and a habitat for it to live in. They had to work with children from other schools and they all worked brilliantly together. They also had some music activities, making instruments and learning to play a rhythm on djembe drum. Well done to the children who took part, it was a wonderful day!

Year 5 enjoyed some fun science experiments yesterday, as part of their ‘Changes and Properties of Materials’ unit.
They got to mix bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, and see how the chemical reaction made the balloons inflate. Then they created pop rockets, to see the reaction when effervescent tablets are placed in water.
It was a great afternoon of learning!
