A wonderful day yesterday for our Nurture & Nourish afternoon

Guests enjoyed Thai spiced Butternut Squash soup and flaxseed rolls on arrival. We then talked about stress and I shared a range of simple techniques that people could use at home, from conscious breathing and progressive muscle relaxation to tactile regulation using conkers.

We used nature meditation cards on a walk in the glorious autumn sunshine and came back to enjoy orange and almond cake and herbal teas whilst getting into flow state creating beautiful autumnal bookmarks.

We finished with some talk on sleep and setting simple practices we could take into the autumn to keep us nutritionally nourished, moving, sociable and creative.

It was wonderful to share such a lovely afternoon with lovely people and we were blessed to have such gorgeous weather to enjoy the most peaceful location.

The next one will be at the beginning of December to help you navigate the festivities with calm and ease.

So this is my first proper very shoddily edited video showing making a Tomato & Courgette bread, this recipe was from the in the by

This came out absolutely lovely and way very light and incredibly tasty. I would say you need a little time and concentration to get all the elements right but definitely worth the effort and makes a fabulous lunch with a green salad and the chutney is fabulous and could be used with other things but as there is an excess I will be freezing enough to make another loaf as that was quite a time consuming part of the process.

Ignore the on in the background!

Do give this one a try.

This month is the second to last Artisan Market and my last demo of the year!

This month I shall be cooking up some delicious recipes to get you ready for the Autumn with a Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Stroganoff followed by a Spiced Caramel Apple Compote.

As well as sharing a mix of nutritional information about the ingredients we are using and our general sprinkle of humour and madness!

I really look forward to seeing you there!

Keeping frozen vegetables and fruits and batches cooking is a great way of having meals to hand when time is short.

Also having jars of vegetables like peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, olives and pickles are fantastic ways of keeping vegetables to hand that means they won’t go off if you haven’t got round to eating them.

These things work particularly well for those who cook for one or two, especially as the supermarket ‘bags’ of vegetables can sometimes not get round to being eaten.

Shopping at the market is another great way of being able to buy just what you need.

What’s you go to cupboard or freezer staple!

And yes I know I have mayo in a jar! Life is short 😂

A profound work on the importance of land, place and home and the connection of plants and nature that we sometimes forgot is there.

As someone who has always seen plants in all forms as medicine and healing as well as nourishment and food, this book brought so much joy as well as moments of deep sadness and memories of the loss of my own mum.

If you would like to get a little lost and discover new knowledge of healing plants I would highly recommend you give it a read.

So many people are arriving at the end of summer feeling tired, stretched thin and ready for a slower pace.

We spend so much time caring for everyone else that we often forget to care for ourselves.

So I've created an afternoon that's designed to feel like a deep breath.

🍂 Seasonal soup on arrival
🍂 Time to reflect on your wellbeing
🍂 A mindful autumn walk
🍂 Nature-inspired creativity
🍂 Herbal teas and homemade treats
🍂 Conversations about stress, sleep and seasonal nourishment
🍂 Practical tools you can take home and actually use

No pressure. No judgement. No need to be "good" at mindfulness.

Just a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect and prepare yourself for the season ahead.

If that sounds like something your mind and body are craving, I'd love to welcome you.

So delighted to meet and Sharon last week.

This is a beautiful space within and they hold some amazing events, one of which is their ‘Autumn Gathering and Glow’ on October 11th

I shall be there on the day talking all things Food Intolerance, with testing kits available to purchase on the day. My Food Intolerance testing comes with 3 consultations and 6 weeks of online support to ensure you are not missing any nutrients and to help with recipes and swops to keep you on track.

I look forward to seeing you there.
