The Heights Primary is a new, Government funded, non-selective, highly inclusive primary school for the Caversham Heights / Mapledurham area. The school opened in September 2014 with 2 reception classes and Year 1 in response to an increasing need for Primary School places in West Caversham. After 7 years of perseverance and resilience the big day is finally here!! We are very very proud to be opening the doors and welcoming the children into their new school today! We hope everyone has a wonderful day! The sun is shining - it’s going to be a bright and happy day!

Our fourth annual Scarecrow Trail launches this weekend and we hope you can all join in the fun!
This year's theme is 'Cartoon and Comic Characters', and from Saturday 26th June - Sunday 4th July, you will spot lots of themed Scarecrows dotted around Caversham Heights!
To take part in the hunt around the Heights to find all of the children's games, you can buy a trail map for £5 from www.pta-events.co.uk/theheights or from The Caversham Rose pub.

Mrs Edwards, Mrs Fallon, the teachers and staff, and all the older children (not forgetting Hector!) have loved welcoming our new reception children to the Heights today! We are now a full school, with 2 classes in every year group!
We are going to have so much fun this year and will learn so many new things! It's going to be wonderful getting to know each and every one of you!

We’re really looking forward to welcoming back the children in Years 1, 4 and 6 this morning and those in Years 2, 3 and 5 on Monday.
We were thinking of our first Year 6 leavers joining their Secondary schools yesterday, and hope they all had a really special first day!

It’s our last day of term and today we say goodbye to our first ever class of Year 6’s. We will miss every single one of you and wish you all the best for secondary school and beyond.
You will always be a part of our Height’s community, and as one of our founding classes, from the very first day, you (and your families) have helped make our school the welcoming, inclusive and happy place it is.
