Do you ever feed grass to your rabbit? We often talk about the importance of hay for rabbits teeth and digestion but do you know why it's important? Grass (or hay) has a rough abrasive surface that helps with teeth wear - that's why it's better for teeth than chewing on sticks or other foods.

Fresh grass can be fed interchangeably with hay and is great to supplement with it's got a high water content which is good for keeping the gut hydrated and very good for rabbits that have issues with bladder sludge. It's also excellent for tempting reluctant hay eaters.

Binky Day is coming up, and we want to see you in action!

A binky is that joyful, high-energy jump rabbits do when they’re feeling happy and safe. You might see them spring into the air, twist mid-jump, or flick their head and ears. It’s one of the clearest signs you’ve got a contented bunny.

If you want to be included in our favourite binkies comment a video of your rabbits’ best binkies

We can’t wait to see those happy hops 🧡

Windwhistle Warren Rabbit Rescue, Gloucestershire is one of the BEST rabbit rescues in the UK. Alice has decades of experience and is a superb bonder too. The team work so hard and often have over 80 rabbits in their cars needing homes.

They are in desperate need of support - ideally monthly donations. Even just £4 a month could make a big difference to them.

Then there is volunteering if you live in the area, donating items for sale, buying things for them off their Amazon wish list, running a fundraising event and more!

Or just following and sharing some of their posts to help raise awareness of them.

From all at Windwhistle we would like to say Hoppy New year, and hope 2026 will be a good one.
2025 was a hard year and we had to downsize due to ill health, but we will continue to help rabbits find their furever loving homes.
We would also like to thank all our supporters and volunteers for their help in keeping the rescue going.
