⭐️Wow we have been busy! What a great two weeks the children have had here at nursery. The children really do get to experience wonderful real life experiences - there is no better way to learn than being a practical participant. We have also welcomed Lizzie Yoga, Heather from Jolly Melodie’s, Jane our dental nurse, our local primary school teachers who support our transitions and local children’s author Izzy.
Take a look at all the wonderful learning experiences we have been participating in. A big thank you to our staff who go above and beyond to make these experiences possible. ⭐️

Free event tomorrow at Prospect Park to celebrate Readings Children’s Festival 🙌

🌟 Reading Children's Festival 2026 🌟

The Reading Play and Ranger Station is holding an open day on Wednesday 27 May to celebrate Reading Children's Festival!

Between 10am and 4:30pm this free event includes:
🎫 low ropes course (height restrictions 4ft and under only, 8 sessions every 30 minutes)
🏌🏻 mini golf
🌴 climbing wall sessions
💡 imaginary play
🧩 under 5s soft play

No pre booking required, just turn up on the day, sessions for activities will be time allocated.
Please ensure for Low Ropes and climbing wall that appropriate footwear is worn.

⭐️ Wow wow wow what a wonderful end to a fantastic summer term 1! Where does the time go?
This term has been truly wonderful here at Welly Boot Lodge. We have enjoyed so many wonderful learning experiences and completed our term with the best day - Grandparents day 💕 we are truly blessed to have the best community. A big thank you to our staff who have worked so incredibly hard this term to ensure nursery is the most successful place for our children. On behalf of all the children thank you.
Families, have the very best half term week ahead making memories with your amazing children and we shall see you when we return for a very busy and exciting summer term 2 ⭐️

We are seeking a passionate, Level 3 early years educator with SEN experience to join our amazing team as we embark upon exciting adventures for September 2026. We are a term time only nursery; working four full days a week will be required 41 weeks per year.
We also welcome correspondence from young adults age 17 onwards who maybe looking to begin their journey into early years education.
