Here’s some more photos from Monday’s Physical Challenge Discovery Session in Todmorden! The Todfellows Space - Todmorden
The regular little toddlers that have been coming for weeks are really growing in confidence and pushing themselves to try new ways of moving their bodies and using their brains to figure out new challenges each week!
Who is joining us tomorrow at The Unity Hub, Rawtenstall on Bank Street?
This session runs from 10-12pm, a welcoming and warm environment full of discovery 💛

Childminders and home schoolers also welcome! Book your place here:

We welcomed four new babies to our Monday Discovery Session this week at The Todfellows Space - Todmorden and they did amazingly!
A very social bunch, they explored all the different textures, materials and equipment on offer together 💛

This session for non movers, crawlers and wobbly walkers runs 9.30-10.30 bi-weekly and the next one is Monday 19th October.

If you can’t wait that long then we also run sessions every Friday at The Unity Hub, Rawtenstall 10-12pm so you could make a day of it!

This was our play set up for Friday’s Discovery Session at The Unity Hub, Rawtenstall and will also be found tomorrow at The Todfellows Space - Todmorden (spaces still available for booking!).

Something different each week presents new challenges and encourages those brain synapses to get firing!

This set up focuses on:
🐝 Physical heavy work (using the proprioceptive sense to discover how to apply the right amount of force to move big objects and your body around them)
🐝 Challenges mentally (how to approach something), physically (how to move to do something) and emotionally (not giving up and becoming more resilient)
🐝 Personal achievement and independence (completing the thing is the reward, not being told they did well)
🐝 Balance and coordination

Sorry I have been a bit slow on social media this weekend, it’s been a busy family one! Did anyone else go to the Nature Festival at Townley Park Burnley today? It was fabulous! If you didn’t know about it, it’s one to pop in your diary for next year…

In our Discovery Session for 0-4 years last week, we were exploring the Harvest in celebration of the Harvest Moon! 🍂🌒 🌽
This week there will be lots of heavy work to discover: big physical challenges working on those gross motor skills; moving things around the space, using different force and direction gaining better body and spacial awareness!
Especially great for those toddlers who love to climb, build and transport 👍 But also a gentle introduction for those little ones learning how to get about and discovering what they can do in a big space 👍
Book on now for Friday: 10am-12pm at The Unity Hub, Rawtenstall, Rawtenstall just off Bank Street. Link in profile.
