👋Stephanie Jackson has been welcomed as the new Senior Teacher at Horrington Primary School near Wells

Stephanie joins with 13 years of teaching experience and a strong leadership background. She has also played a key role in developing play-based provision in Key Stage 1.

As Senior Teacher, Stephanie works closely with the Executive Headteacher Hannah Maggs, staff, pupils and families to support the day-to-day running of the school, strengthen teaching and learning, and help ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in a happy, safe and nurturing environment.

Stephanie said:

"I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the school as Senior Teacher and becoming part of such a special village community. I have been so warmly welcomed by everyone. It’s an exciting opportunity to help shape the next chapter of the school, working closely with the children, staff, families and wider community. I’m really looking forward to all that we can achieve together." 💫

There will be representatives from more than 30 organisations including SASS (Specialist Autism Support Service) at the event being held at the Apex Hotel in Bath

Parents and carers of children and young people are invited to a free event at the Apex City of Bath Hotel on 14 October that will help them find support and get practical advice.

🌟GREAT News for Farmborough Church Primary School near Bath!🌟

According to a recent inspection report: pupils are enabled to “flourish as they explore their potential” and “grow and develop into the best version of themselves."

⛪🚸The school’s Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) took place last month (September) with the conclusion that:
“Farmborough Church Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.”

Darren Roberts, Headteacher said:
“What makes me particularly proud about this report is its recognition of the school community we have built together."🙏

Last week Hayesdown First School in Frome celebrated their annual Harvest Festival 🌾
During the festival assembly, each year group shared their learning about different aspects of harvest time:

🌾Reception class performed the song Big Red Combine Harvester
🌾Year 1 recited a harvest poem
🌾Year 2 explained the differences between how bread was harvested and made in 1666 compared with today.
🌾 Year 3 challenged everyone with a quiz: 'What foods are grown under the ground, on the ground or above the ground?'
🌾 Year 4 shared some fascinating facts about the Harvest Moon.

The children also contributed items for the Fair Frome Foodbank🌾💛

📚✨ Children from The Partnership Trust schools have been inspired by some amazing authors and illustrators at this year’s Bath Children's Literature Festival !

🔬 Year 5 & 6 pupils from Weston All Saints C of E Primary School met scientist and author Dr Shini Somara, who shared insights from her new book "Scientists Making a Difference" and highlighted the wide range of exciting careers in science.

🐻 Year 2 pupils from Roundhill Primary School travelled by bus to the Guildhall to meet children's author and illustrator Jarvis, creator of the popular "Bear and Bird" series. They loved hearing about his stories, illustrations and creative process.

👏📖 A fantastic experience that's sure to inspire the next generation of readers, writers and scientists!💙📚

Year 4 pupils from Weston All Saints C of E Primary School in Bath spent a night in a castle this term 🏰⚔
🌟During their one-night residential trip to St Briavels Castle in the Forest of Dean pupils experienced activities such as fencing, 'attack the castle' and being 'water bearers'.
🔎They also explored the castle, learnt about its history and even experienced a medieval banquet!

This week (5-9 October) is Cycle to School Week 🚴🏻🚴🏻‍♀️
Our schools across The Partnership Trust work hard to encourage pupils to cycle to school. From supporting the youngest cyclists in our playgrounds to building bike shelters and hosting Bikeability courses we hope every child has the opportunity to get on their bike!
