This afternoon we got to celebrate the Puffin children who will be moving on to school in September. We enjoyed some party games, dancing and some yummy party treats. Good luck to everyone moving on, you will be amazing 🤩

The children at Puffins were able to harvest and taste some of the carrots they have grown this year, they were delicious. 😊

We have been enjoying the lovely weather at Puffins, and the children are showing great understanding of sun safety. We had lots of fun cooling off in the water this afternoon. We are very lucky to have a large undercover area which is perfect to be able to be outside, but shelter from the sun. ☀️💦

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has come to the Stay & Play Group at the Children’s Centre this year, it has been so lovely to meet and get to know new families and see familiar faces attend each week.

We are sad to say that the group will be closed next week (Monday 12th June) due to First Aid training and we will only be able to continue for a final date, Monday 19th June.

The number of children in the Nursery has increased, which we are really pleased about, however this does mean that we are unfortunately short on staff to be able to run the group.

Thank you for your understanding, we we hope to see you there for the last session, Monday 19th June. Cake, biscuits, tea & coffee will be provided! 😊

The children in Puffins this week have enjoyed planting more seeds in the garden. They are looking after the vegetables they have planted in the garden very well. We got to harvest and try some radishes that we had grown and couldn’t believe how big they were. Everyone has been very responsible making sure all the plants are well watered. We have lots of things growing and can’t wait to see how they grow.

It was a sad day today saying goodbye to our fantastic teacher Mrs O’Donnell. The Puffins and Owl’s enjoyed an outside story and listened to one last Mrs O’Donnell story with a treat of cake. We have been lucky enough to have her for nearly 6 years so many of the children in the school also have very fond memories. This was shown by a great selection of personal cards. We wish you so much luck in everything you do, you will always be a Puffin and welcome back to see us anytime ❤️❤️

Wow, what a busy day. We had lots of fun celebrating the Coronation today. We drew pictures of the King, enjoyed a special lunch in the hall, had our picture taken with the whole school and had ice lollies in the classroom. Thanks to Bishop Henderson School and the lovely PTA and wellbeing group for including us in the celebrations.

We were also very lucky this afternoon to have a visit from Neave’s tortoise Terry. We asked lots of questions about him and got to hold him. Thank you for bringing him to visit Puffins 😊🥰 🐢

Just a reminder that the Community Stay and Play group will commence on Monday 24th April, at The Link Children’s Centre from 1:30pm-3:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there☺️.

Some great pictures from our Easter Stay and Play today. 🐣 🐥 😊 A huge thanks to Grace (Miss Ward as she is known in the Nursery) for working so hard to make these session fab.

We have really enjoyed being able to offer ‘Community Stay and Play Sessions’ at the Children’s Centre attached to Bishop Henderson School. It has been great to get to know some of the families in the local area. We want to be able to continue offering these sessions after the Easter break, however it will be necessary to move the group to a Monday from 1:30- 3:00 due to staffing in the Nursery. Please continue to come along and share this information with others 😊

The very clever children at Puffins Nursery have been enjoying yoga sessions over the last few weeks. They are working really hard to follow instructions and take on some tricky yoga positions. All of our age groups have been taking part, 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Well done, great perseverance and listening everyone 😊 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♂️
