🔈The children asked, the adults listened!
When Mrs Hepher was first interviewed by the School Council, they were keen to ask for a school pet
❓Over the past few months we have been exploring our options and the children have decided on school guinea pigs
🙏Thanks to the generous support from our school Coffee and Cake Team, as well as a kind donation of a cage from a family, the excitement is building!
🕵️We are getting ready to welcome the furriest new members of soon

🏅Today, the children have been busy working with Mrs Brown, from Newton Abbot College, practising for our Sports Day.
🤗We look forward to welcoming you next Wednesday 17th June for Reception, KS1 and KS2 and Thursday 18th June for Nursery.

🪴This term in year 1 our science focus has been PLANTS we have enjoyed spending more time exploring and noticing characteristics of the trees and flowers at Forest School.
🌻We have also been making cross‑curricular links to our artist study of Vincent van Gogh, focusing on his famous sunflower paintings.
🎨The children have been applying learnt techniques, using warm‑coloured oil pastels to create their own detailed sunflower artwork.
😺They have really enjoyed noticing the shapes, textures and colours that make sunflowers so unique.

🤩An amazing first day back yesterday - Newton Abbot College came to visit to support our brilliant Y6 pupils heading there in September, we had cricket sessions running across the school from Hollie from Devon cricket club, a focus on 'Excellence' with a link to elephants this week, and a bit of Tina Turner 'Simply the Best' to see us out of assembly! 🎶

📖 Story Time & Crafts at the library! 📖

Every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:30, we hand pick a book to read to you, followed by themed crafts and activities. This month we've got a really wholesome story for you - The Bookshop on Lemon Tree Lane by Mike Lucas
