Offering Term Time only care It was the best decision I've ever made and I love it.

I am a Term Time only, Ofsted Registered/Croydon Network Childminder. I live with my husband of 21 years and my children aged 16 and 19. We live in a four bedroom semi detached house with spacious garden, backing on to fields. We are located within walking distance of Sanderstead Village and Hamsey Green. We are on the 403 bus route and close to Warlingham, Sanderstead, Purley and Riddlesdown trai

n stations. At my last ofsted inspection I was graded overall "Good" with areas of outstanding. After working in Local Government for 20 years I decided I wanted to change my career and became a professional child carer. I know how hard it is to leave children and I am able to support working parents by looking after their children in a safe, loving home from home environment. They can make friends,have fun and learn at the same time. I have a playroom that links to the dining/kitchen area and a door into the garden where there are, rockers, ride-ons, sand and water table etc. In the playroom I have a wide range of Toys, resources and books. We enjoy Craft Activities, Cooking, going for walks locally, visit the Library and go to Toddler Groups and Childminding groups. We also go on trips to farms, soft play etc during school holidays. I work to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines
I am accredited for funding (approved to deliver the two and three year old funding on behalf of the local authority)
I provide freshly cooked meals and healthy snacks and am Registered as a Food Business with Environmental Health. My Public Liability Insurance is with NCMA (National Childminding Association) of which I am a member. I have full business use Insurance cover for Childminding on my car. I have had a clean Driving Licence since I passed my driving test a very long time ago!! I work with a great assistant who is approved by ofsted and has a pediatric first aid certificate. I use a secure web based paperwork system which means that you will be able to log in and view daily diary entries, progress, photos, news letters and menus for your child at any time.

The playroom decorations are up and our display board is all finished. The children had great fun making snowmen.

We have had a fantastic day today. For a donation the children have come dressed in yellow and/or spots, for Children in Need (including us).
We have made and iced cakes, made a bear and played party games.

We have been very busy since returning in September. To name just a few things, there has been lots of outside play using sand,water and soil etc for messy play, we have been talking about the weather and making various crafts to go alongside it.

For Autumn we have looked at colours and found leaves for rubbing, made autumnal crafts, used seasonal colours for painting and this week we have been using conkers for various things including counting and threading.

We have made bread for Harvest this week and next week we are using clay for Diwali lights whilst looking at the way the festival is celebrated.

We are then closed for two weeks and then we are back for the lead up to Christmas 🎄
