Our Willow class children are so keen to write. They have moved from using their phonics to encode words or phrases, to generating sentences every morning during Early Work. A budding class of enthusiastic writers is a wonderful sight to see.

Oak class have been very busy completing their DT project this half-term. They have looked at what makes a stable structure, working in teams and looking at real-life examples. They have used their knowledge, conducted market research, designed a pencil pot and, today, brought their designs to life!

We have had an awe-inspiring and highly engaging day today thanks to for their fantastic workshops. Each class has had a chance to explore the properties of magnets and engage in a fantastic STEM workshop as part of this year's science week.

We have loved celebrating World Book Day 2026. Thank you for all the efforts made to create such a celebration and enthuse our school community to continue to grow their love and passion for reading. We had fun taking part in the Golden Ticket treasure hunt, making class Reading Rivers, reading stories with staff around the school and classroom activities. The children looked fabulous - as did the staff team!

This Children's Mental Health Week we will be gathering pupil voice from every child through the wellbeing surveys our Wellbeing Team created. We want to hear from the children about their sense of belonging so that we can respond to how our pupils experience school and what they need.

We all had a brilliant first day marking Children's Mental Health Week by taking part in a circus skills workshop. Each class had the excitement of learning new skills and being amazed by our talented performer's acrobatic abilities. School is fun - and we belong.

Today we began to mark Children's Mental Health Week. We have lots of meaningful ways to engage children in this year's theme of Belonging by thinking and talking about 'My Space'.
