A great session this morning on 'tapping', led by Katie from www.themagicofbotanicals.co.uk, as part of our monthly SEN meet-up. We also had lots of useful discussion on those issues that are currently concerning us. It is lovely to be part of a group that is so welcoming and supportive, sharing advice and successes together. We hope all our families have had an amazing summer, and we look forward to welcoming you all back for lessons over this week and next. If you are interested, alongside our tutoring we also do screeners for both Dyslexia and Dyscalculia.
10th September is our first SEN Parent Meet-up, and we also have parent workshops on both 'ADHD' and 'Helping your child with spelling and reading' coming up this month too - anyone welcome!

As our Year Six pupils move on, we have a few regular tuition slots which will be available from September. This month's SEN meet-up was focused on the difficulties neurodiverse children can have with writing. Such a complex subject and we only really managed to cover the mechanics of writing, particularly the importance of bilateral integration - as demonstrated below in a lesson this week, with amazing concentration! Next month, we'll be looking at practical strategies to support your child with planning their writing. If you'd like more details contact Jane at [email protected]
