⏰ Hours: Saturdays, 9:00am – 5:00pm
The role will include giving excellent customer service, general retail work and picking internet orders❤
The successful candidate must be able to:
✅Deliver a high level of customer care/service at all times
✅Help maintain a tidy and organised shop
✅Pick internet orders accurately in the warehouse
✅Work both independently and in a team

What we’re looking for:
✅ Good equestrian knowledge

The Morris Animal Foundation will open its Equine Behaviour/Welfare Research Grant in May - a great opportunity for those involved in equine research.
📅 Key dates:
• Pre-proposals: 6th May – 10th June 2026
• Full proposals (by invitation): 29th July – 9th September 2026
This year, the grant will be part of the wider Equid Health RFP and will be the only opportunity to apply in 2026.
💡 Research focus includes areas such as behaviour, cognition, learning, stereotypies, separation anxiety, and horse–human interactions.
The Foundation is also looking for professionals to join its Scientific Advisory Board to help review proposals.

Today marks a special occasion in HE - the 2026 Graduate Showcase!
Students across a range of degree courses have presented their final dissertation projects in a research conference format. Huge well done to all the students in Equine and other courses!
The high standard of projects made voting for the best poster a difficult task! Congratulations to the winner Connie Rawcliffe and runner-up Ashleigh Watkins🌟
The final award of the day is the Aspinall Endeavour Award, in memory of beloved HE Animal Lecturer Kirsty Aspinall. This award is given to a student who has shown outstanding effort and dedication to academic studies. Huge congratulations to Equine’s Sophie Melling for this achievement!🌟
Thank you to all of the Myerscough staff for your hard to make this day possible, without you it wouldn’t happen! An additional thank you to our Principal Wes Johnson for opening the showcase, and Dr John Fry for presenting the awards.

We had a great weekend at National Equine Show this weekend with Myerscough FE Equine and Myerscough College Equine Apprenticeships. Thank you to everyone who came to speak to us, we hope you all had a great weekend too. Even Swfarriers managed to stop by to hi at the end of the day today.
