The AEA promotes the advancement of the study of human interaction with the environment in the past through archaeology and related disciplines.

We hold annual conferences and other meetings, produce a quarterly newsletter for members, and publish our conference monographs, as well as our journal - Environmental Archaeology: The journal of human palaeoecology. AEA membership is open to all those actively involved or interested in any aspect of environmental archaeology

Registration for the 47th Association for Environmental Archaeology Conference is now open.

Places are limited to 120 people; 50 for the conference dinner.

Registration costs are:
-AEA member: £70 early bird (£85 standard)
-AEA student/unemployed/retired member: £42 early bird (£50 standard)
-Non-member: £95 early bird (£120 standard)
-Student/unemployed/retired non-member: £80 early bird (£100 standard)
-Online-only access): £45 (audience only; early bird pricing does not apply)
