What a wonderful few weeks we’ve had in preschool!

The children have loved exploring the great outdoors with trips to the park, where they’ve been climbing, running, discovering nature and enjoying lots of fresh air and fun with friends. ☀️🕶️

Back at preschool, out little adventurers have been busy building dens and creating cosy hideaways using team work, imagination and problem solving skills. 🏕️

We’ve also been taking very special care of our very own pet balloons! The children showed kindness, responsibility and lots of creativity as they looked after their balloon friend throughout the week. 🎈🐶

And of course, no preschool adventure would be complete without becoming pirates! We’ve sailed the seas, searched for treasure and enjoyed lots of imaginative role play together. 🏴‍☠️🦜

It’s been lovely to see the children growing in confidence, creativity and friendships everyday. And we can wait for more adventures ahead! 😊

For the past couple of weeks the toddlers have really enjoyed doing lots of fun activities including planting which helped them understand how to care for plants and helped develop their fine motor skills with lots of digging and putting the seeds in the soil , they also really enjoyed learning about mini beasts in the soil and using the magnifying glasses to inspect them using the minibeast book we read to the children at circle time! They also learnt the letters in their name and tried to copy them in the flour We thought a good way to help the children understand the world we live in was to let them wash the clothes and hand them up on the washing line when clean! While the sun was out we used the spray bottles to paint the paper outside on the fence which the children really enjoyed .

Babies have been looking at frogs in the pond, eggs and lily pads. We’ve been trying to catch the eggs on a spoon and doing small jumps like a frog. 🐸

This week the toddlers enjoyed a walk to explore environment outside of the nursery. They showed great curiosity as they observed their surroundings, noticing different sights, sounds, and textures along the way. Some children pointed out familiar objects, while others were excited by new experiences such as the passing vehicles, plants and open spaces. The walk supported the toddlers physical development, confidence, and their awareness of the world around them.

Toddler also celebrated Earth day through a range of sensory activities. The children explored different materials, engaging their senses as they touched, felt and investigated. During these activities we introduced simple ideas about recycling, encouraging the children to begin understanding how we can look after our environment. This supported their early awareness of the world around them while promoting exploration and learning through play.
