Dear Parents and Guardians,
Protecting Our Students’ Digital Footprints
At our school, your child’s safety is always our top priority - both in the classroom and online. In light of the rapid advancements in AI technology and increasing digital security concerns, we are updating our social media policy to better protect our students’ identities.
A Meaningful Change
This was a difficult decision to make, as we take great pride in celebrating our students' daily achievements. However, as educators, we frequently teach our children the importance of digital citizenship and the risks of oversharing personal images online. We felt it was essential to "practice what we preach" and review our own policies to meet those same high standards of privacy.
What is Changing?
To ensure the highest level of protection, we will no longer post photos that clearly show students’ faces on our public website or public social media pages.
Where to Find Student Photos
We know how much you love seeing your children in action! You will still be able to enjoy photos and videos featuring our students’ smiling faces within the secure, parent-only ClassDojo platform. This ensures that these special moments stay within our private school community.
Staying Connected
We aren't going anywhere! We will continue to post regular updates to our public social media pages to keep you informed about school news, upcoming events, and the wonderful work happening in our classrooms. These posts will focus on:
-Candid shots (from behind or at angles that protect identity)
-Information sharing
-Close-ups of student work and projects
-General school environment and event highlights
Thank you for your partnership and understanding as we work together to keep our school community safe and secure
