Hello everybody,

Just a small reminder that elections for next years committee will be closing at 15:00 tomorrow (25/02). So if you are interested, please get nominating to ensure the continuation of your society next year!

Voting will then open at 00:00 on the 7th March, and even if only one person has ran for a position, they will still need at least one vote to become an official committee member.

Hello members of the First aid society,

Sadly due to placements and end of year exams, most if not all of the committee members have stepped down. I have had a conversation with the Student Union about the situation and we have come up with a solution. We will need at least three students who are part of the society to step up and take the role of Chair, Treasurer, and Social Secretary for the remaining few months of the academic year. We will support you in any way we can, helping you understand your role, and make sure you are in full understanding of the procudures put in place when having an event or meeting.

When it comes to organising a committee for the next academic year, nominations are already open, so please nominate yourself if this is something you are intersted in. Nominations are open until 15:00 on Friday the 25th of February, while voting staers at 00:00 on Monday the 7th of March. We advise younger years go for these roles, so they are less likely to be affected by exams and placements this time next year. For those who are elected in to next years committee you will be given full training in both May and September, you do not need to go to both, though we do suggest going to the committee training event in May, as you will start your new role on the 2nd of August 2022. Please bare in mind, you do need at least one official committee member to be nominated in during the next acadmic year elections for the society to continue.
